Super Sweet: Diamond Princess & White Princess
Comments (10)Thanks for the review posted above. Looking at the picture I can tell you why that fruit is not sweet. It's over watered and probably over fertilized. My nectarines have looked that way a few times when over watered. My biggest and best looking fruit I've ever grown. Just like the reviewer, I didn't eat them. Ever since I've been on the quest for the perfectly watered nectarine. Instead of 12-16 brix I've sometimes hit 22-24 and even once 35 brix. The best fruit I've ever eaten were the 20 something nectarines....See MoreWhere to find white quartzite in SF/Bay area
Comments (5)Bedrosians has multiple yards in Northern California. If you go to one and don't find what you want, you might ask them to check their other yards. We went to the one in Folsom and they had the quartzite we wanted but the slabs would have required a seam in our island. They checked their other yards and found a batch in the Bay Area that were large enough and moved them to our local store so we could decide whether to use them instead....See MoreWhere to find/cost of White Princess Granite?
Comments (4)I bought mine in Northern California at DaVinci Marble and Stone in San Carlos, 650-595-2500. It was $44.68/sq ft. My slabs were 107X63. Search my user name for pics of the granite. I used it for both the counters and island and the backsplashes. We absolutely love love love it. No stains, no etching, no pitting, no chips--it's a dream and I love the way it looks. Also, we had ours honed. The slabs were polished on one side and leathered on the other, but I really wanted the honed. With regard to searching the forum--sometims this granite is called other names so look for white kitchens in general. Some people categorize it under "quartzite" since I think technically it might be quartzite. Good Luck!...See MoreWhich granite is whiter - Super White or White Princess?
Comments (7)I just found my Super White and waiting for it to arrive at my fabricator's. It is gray, but has lovely white that shines thru. I believe the White Princess is overall whiter. For me, this slab tugged at the marble-lover in me and it's the only reason we're not going with marble. Here's a picture of it: First thing DH said when I showed him the photo was, "Wow. What marble is that?!"...See Morebeekeeperswife
