I just found a Old KT page

Someone was asking about Koda and I went on a hunt and found this old page. It has the old getting to know you threads and lots of photo's. I've added it to Our website also. (look on Favorite websites)

I love that old website. Thanks for putting the link on "our" website.

I have wondered if anyone knows anything about Koda. I asked at another forum, but no one responded. She is a really great lady, and I hope she is OK.

Sadly, we can't keep it now. For one thing, I found out the cost of matching the tile to the area which does not have it, would be approximately $2000. I never expected that, had no idea new encaustic tile was that much money let alone that wasn't even the price to exactly match it, just for some other encaustic tile in general - I never even got around to asking how much it would be for a special order. Once I found out the price of their stock line, that was that. Aside from that anyway, when demolition began it really dinged up the edges of the existing tile rather badly. I had to take a hard look at the situation and when my BF even admitted that he felt it might be the wrong move to try and salvage it (he, I think, was more in love with it than I) I finally admitted defeat. I am now on a quest to try and figure out the best material to float over the floor. I've been told that laying regular ceramic over is the easiest method but I really would prefer a wood floor to match the rest of the house. So - not sure yet what's going to happen. Bummer for sure.

I see the Write something box on the first page, but what I'm trying to do is in the KT Name/Real Name Discussion. There is a box at the end that says Reply, and then those squiggly code things. Is that where you write about the names? I don't want to put something in the wrong place and have it end who knows where. Sue

Ooh, my favourite and most used tool -- the Fiskars trimmer! Great buy, Debbie. This hobby can get quite expensive real fast so I would recommend doing some free or inexpensive research first. When I started out, I looked at tons of examples posted on websites, boards and in magazines. Pam provided a great list in the previous post. I found it to be very inspiring and very educational! I swear I would've just pasted my photos into any old album with some Elmer's school glue if I didn't read about terms like "acid-free" and "archival quality" first! :o\ See what techniques and styles appeal to you most and use them to guide you through a layout. But definitely keep it *you* -- people will want to see and appreciate your personal touch on your albums for years to come! You can find inspiration everywhere. A funny saying on a bumper sticker could be the title to your next page. A clever graphic you see on the side of building could be your next embellishment. And don't forget to *really* look at your photos -- i.e. what colours are prominent? What is the theme? What images might you extend from the photos onto your page? What amusing or amazing thing was going on at the time that you could journal about? Hope this helps! Let the games begin! :o) Leah

Dani, I was baffled by Facebook too when I first joined as I was also used to MySpace. But now I find it much easier, and safer using Facebook. I go back and forth between the two now and if I can't find friends on Facebook I try one of three things. 1. I go to MySpace and look. If I find a friend on MySpace, I ask them to join my Facebook page. 2. Use the Friend Finder option on Facebook. You can put in your email address and password and it goes into your address book and tells you who in your addresses is already on Facebook and gives you the option to select everyone who is not on Facebook so you can invite them. 3. Find the kids of friends and family you've lost track of, contact them and ask for a way to reach their parents. I just reconnected with my brother and two old friends that way. Jodi-

koda is alive and well. I ran into her at facebook and she was playing lots of games. I cleaned up a bunch of her farmville crops for her. She's still around.

I just looked at the Getting to know you thread....WOW, there are many of us that were here back then and are still here. I found myself and Glenda too. I'll have to check it later, lots to read. I think it started in 2000. You can see how some of our lives have changed.

I met koda when she came to LKGrace's get-together, musta been 9 or 10 years ago.

Elaine from NJ flew in and stayed with me.
She was Janice Charms?Harms???mother.

That was when Janice and Dave were an item, briefly, and the two of them came thru B'ham.
