The color in the pic above is very similar to the color my master bedroom used to be -- FB Blue Gray, which is pictured in the thread below but in my room, it read quite a bit darker (more like the 3rd pic down where it looks darker in the corner). I didn't like it, actually, for my room, and just repainted it Revere Pewter -- so I don't have my own pics to share. It's a great color, just not for me!

Sue-thanks for the suggestion. I actually just found this pic this morning when trying to post the bedroom set. I also saw your post (in your link)this morning. I think the color is too bright (white base?) I have Benjamin Moore Hampshire Gray in my kitchen and love that it is a color, but grayed down. I don't want pure gray for MY bedroom because that is what I want for my son's room in 1-2 years. I did look at Revere Pewter as it looks like a lot of people love it...but it is very taupe in my room...DH doesn't like white/taupe/tan walls. I think a tan wold be very pretty, but will have to save that color as an accent, which is actually why I need something that doesn't read "GRAY" ... I don't think I would like gray and tan together! But blue and tan is very nice....
Now that the light is changing in my room this morning, I am thinking that the Sherwin Williams Monorail Silver may be my best bet. Although I am still undecided.

I think tht blue/greys & grey/blues are some of the hardest colors to choose from just by samples. I think that their nuances are so enhanced/ un-enhanced by everything around them (including light reflecting back from other walls) that it's nearly impossible to tell whether or not the color will go grey or blue on you until all 4 walls are painted. Sorry!

Our boys room is a color called Silverware which is a beautiful grey which reads slightly greyed blue on their walls. It was totally grey on the color strip and when I poured a sample of it for a friend I swear it looked positively pale baby blue! I had to make her take a leap of faith in me to try it.

ttodd- I agree that I am just going to have to do my due diligence picking the color and then a total leap of faith!
I actually primed my walls, 2 coats, because the colors I was picking were just not reading right in the rose colored room! I really don't want to move a king bed after the fact because I just got the wrong color on the wall though.

Well... I'm probably not a lot of help, but I'm chiming in to say it's amazing how blue a gray can look on the wall. I just painted a color that looked to be muted gray-green-blue on the chip. It is distinctly blue on my walls. I do not want a blue room, though if I did, it is a very pretty, grayed out blue... I've come to believe that splotching is not enough for me to really see a color. I apparently have to have it on the walls en masse to really know if it is what I am going for. Alas.

PS - My color was allen and roth Rain Puddle from Lowes.

What about BM Kentucky Haze (AC-16)? It's a little more blue than your picture, but has a bit of green and gray in it as well.

The color in the picture looks like BM Wedgewood Gray in my guest room with western light.

Have you googled Boothbay Gray? I found this picture and it looks pretty blue.

I also found one of Monorail Silver. Love this one!

Monorail Silver looking more blue. That's what makes this so darn hard.

I'm thinking if you're worried a color might not have enough blue, it will probably be okay. I'm in the group that ended up with a color bluer than I thought it would be.
