Please be patient with me this is the first time I have hosted a swap.

My idea is to make this swap simple and not very time consuming so that busy people and people involved in

other swap can easily join in the fun. I want to keep this simple so that all skill levels can participate

What is the SWAP and what are the Deadlines:

* The swap will be a handmade item such as a potholder, small tote, pincushion etc. . .

* Everyone gets to decide if they want a Christmas theme or a Winter theme and post it on this thread.

* It will Quilters choice as to what is made. It will need to stay with the theme that the person you are

giving to has selected, Christmas or Winter.

* Juvenile prints are ok

* You can add something small to your package if you want but don't spend more than $10

* I will mix up the names and e-mail you your surprise swap partner between April 1st and April 5th

* Packages need to be sent to your swap partner so that they arrive no later than July 15th.

* I will start a new thread for you to post that you have mailed your surprise package (donÂt say to whom),

* Post when you have received your surprise package (it's ok at that point to reveal who sent you your surprise)

* Post your pictures on this thread too. DonÂt forget the pictures. We all love to see pictures.

* To sign up, post here and please e-mail me via the forum with your name, address, e-mail and forum name.

* I'll send a confirming e-mail to you directly so you have my direct e-mail.

* The last day to sign up will be April 1st

MARIE! I would love to come there this weekend! BUT, it would be 3hrs away from us and with gas prices, and me not working...... I've been job hunting, and there is not much here for my skills, seems most places want LPN's, RN's, and CNA's. Not MA's. And although the thought of staying home with my 3yr old son this summer is nice, it's just not in the finances. I am fighting unemployment right now, they don't seem to think my quiting my job to move to another state so that me and my then 2yr old son could be together with his Father and older brother is a good enough reason. Evidently, they feel that a 2yr old seeing his Dad 3 times over a 9 month period of time is plenty! I have a court date this Thur. AM. It will be a 3 way conf. call with the judge, my previous employer, and myself. I am getting pretty anxious about it and my tummy is in knots! This is the 3rd level of my appeal and I guess there is only one more level after this. I really thought that by the time this all came about I would be working, you can't even find jobs at fast food places with the college kids home right now, and of course if the pay doesn't cover the cost of daycare and gas there isn't much sense in it. But ya never know, if it goes my way I might be able to talk Jamie into it, he keeps asking what I want for my Bday on friday and it is going to be the big 4-0 So I should get something special!! Of course I was thinking along the lines of a load of dirt and a trip to the local nursery LOL! BTW, do you think you could save me some of those tangerine coneflower seeds this fall? They are beauties! Also....I think you will make a fine hostess!! Like Remy said, you already came up with a great name! Remy, Wow, what a trip, I did some searching around here but haven't found a daylily farm yet! Got to go renew my Drivers Lic and get another beautiful DMV photo taken! Take care girls! Vic

Wow! I got my seeds! It took a little detective work to figure out what swap this package belonged to, but once the fear of having lost my mind were over and i started pulling out my seed packets and recording them, the pleasure stretched out to 181 packets of a great variety of seeds, thanks to all of you, my new GGF(great and generous friends). you guys are de bom! The assortment is awsome considering that there was no want list matchups at all. Cathy, awsome job sorting our packages, I only got 2 of my own seeds, and the rest was just pure pleasure to receive and record! Thank you. Chris

It is not uncommon for them to push up some leaves in warm spells, but they don't seem to be harmed in my garden when it gets cold again. If you start seeing flower buds, I might get a bit concerned, but leaf tips are perfectly normal.

I used the word Juvenile print to describe a fabric with for examples snowmen on it versus a holiday flower print. I wasn't sure how to describe it. Any input?

I am with those who choose not to have kids prints. I'm almost 75 so even though I some times feel like a kid, I am not. Jayne

OK....I give in - I wasn't going to join anothe swap for now - but i have to.....I'm addicted...they are so much fun - I'm having so much fun with my 2 birthday swaps and the Flower blook and Scrappy House swap - this one will be great.......
So, please sign me up...
For me it can be Winter or Christmas - surprise me.....

Yes, Suellen, I'd say that the top 3 are juvenile (kids') and the bottom row are all whimsical or novelty.

What a beautiful picture..those flowers are stunning..Sunflowers are my favourite...I'd love a garden filled with them if I could...but these wild ones are stunning.....
