I live in a house that was built in 1926 and the bathrooms were remodeled about 55. I have since re-remodeled...but that blue tiled bath made me very nostalgic! The toilet and tub are most certainly original as is the wall tile. However the vanity and is newer and perhaps that large mirror. But love the set in toothbrush holders and the soap dish with the grab bar.....and I had towel bars exactly like you have!! Mine was sandle wood and dark brown....and the wall paper was tiny flowers....quite subdued. If you want to stay true to the period, I would do wall paper.....and a small print. for the one with the yellow floor, I suspect the toilet in new, It likely was yellow, ans of course the vanity....but the tile is very of the period. I would paint the walls about the same color as the floor and accessorize with tropical green.

Haven't read through the thread but will share this: I do like the black and white vibe you have going but wouldn't add much, if any, more black. Would definitely want to keep the walls really light in a north facing room so you can keep the furnishings you choose --even dark ones -- and yet not end up with a cave vibe. Would not use wall paper. Strategically placing a mirror can reflect outdoor light from the windows. Hi everyone , So many decisions to be made during a renovation. In our walk our basement we are putting in a linear fireplace with a tv over it ( both about 65 in wide ) and built in open shelves on one side , a bench in the other . I have decided to paint it all. There also a small servery in the space. I am thinking about duxbury grey/ puritan grey / Kendall charcoal or metropolis . Are these too bold? The rest of the space will be light and bright . I’ll attach a plan for the fireplace and servery . Cabinets are ordered . We just need a color .

From your last thread, big change going from ADU to basement. However, it doesn't appear that this is a hillside with a walkout basement? Is this not hilly CA? And where is the back setback for outdoor living? I thought "garage left" wasn't allowed to disturb historic trees with a driveway? It seems that "garage right" has more openness to a view and more opportunity to manipulate, whereas "garage left" is specific to a tight Northwest view, though I do not know how height limitations you spoke prior affect either plan. It also seems that you are the one designing this instead of an architect? If you were to start with basics of adjacencies, circulation, nodes, arrival points, etc you might have a semblance of the "garage right" plan, so without any other information that seems to have more potential to pursue.
