Thanks everyone. I can't believe how excited I've been about this. It's been the best part of our whole build so far. karen: The Leland is not a dark brown in my opinion. It is strange how there are so many different variations of the ORB. It's not the rustic type that is almost black, we have that for our front door. I don't know how easy it would be to match it to another type. That has been my problem too. I have ordered the prep sink faucet in Belle Foret ORB. We haven't received that yet but I'm hoping it works OK with the Leland. We also have the ORB cabinet hardware that is even a different ORB. I'm not too upset about it. I really don't want everything to be the same....I will try to get a pic of it to show you what it looks like. teedup: No we didn't bring the granite home with us, as much as I wanted to, but I was afraid maybe 2 slabs might squash my little Honda!!! (Tee, Hee, Hee) We did put our name on the slabs and they are numbered in magic marker on the back. We signed a release that stated those were the ones we wanted. We have a copy of that. So I feel confident we will get the right ones. buffettgirl: I love it too. Dreamed about it last night... You aren't the only one that can't wait to see it all together.!! Believe me GW will get pics of this one.

Update: Well, I took your advice, and kept looking. I think I wore DH out, because he finally just said I could go and he'd be ok w/ whatever I selected. Freedom...yet a big responsibility so I need to get it "right"! So, the other day, I decided to dedicate a whole day to visiting other granite yards within an hour's drive from here. I walked into the first place, and saw a slab I'd never seen before. It is so different from the Giallo Ornamentals and Delicatus slabs I'd been "focusing" on, but I think it is THE one! It isn't quite as blue as it looks in the picture, but it definitely compliments the blue fabric on the dining room chair seats. (When I saw it, I realized that having gray/blue in the stone could work really well because we are opening up the kitchen to the dining room and our dining room.) It also has some taupe/neutral shades that work with the plank tile floor. What do you think?!

I have the Franke Orca in Fireclay, which is a single bowl. I also have the grates. I love, love, love the fireclay. It's been in 8 months and it cleans like a breeze. I've never had to use more then dishsoap and a sponge to get it clean. No chipping or staining of any kind. The grates really help to keep pots from clanking on the bottom. I also have the higher grate which takes up 1/2 the sink so I can drip dry clean dishes on the grate.

Now that you pasted both close to the bahia, I am even firmer about liking the (now) first one with it. It echoes the bahia better. However, I think I'd consider stainless for at least the sink area. It would be a mellow backdrop and allow the marble sink to show off more. It would also be very functional around the cooktop.... You could use as much citrus or other acids as you want ;) You'd be giving your fiance the bulletproof areas he wants and letting the bahia and marble be more noticeable.
