I wrote a thread over on the "Retirement" Forum on this issue.
I heard on the radio the other day that the Ontario?/Federal? government is preparing a rule to require cemeteries to allow holders of plots to sell them to any willing purchaser, at current prices.
Prior to this, a holder of a cemetery plot who didn't want it any longer was required to sell it back to the cemetery ... at precisely the price that had been paid for it initially.
Some of the rules regarding cemeteries are dealt with by provinces, but I'm not sure whether this present plan relates to only Ontario, or to the whole country.
If you have plots, or are considering them, you may want to do some checking about the issue.
Good wishes for finding the ideal final resting place (for the body portion of your whole being).
