You might want to try reposting this with a title like: "Need pics of frig that sticks out from cabs" or something like that, because I think most people will read the fd in your title as french door.

Rtorgy1  Are you aware that some of us recess our full depth refrigerators so that they look like counter depth? I thought I would point this out in case you were not aware of this and it was an option for you. To do this, you need to bump the wall out a bit behind the fridge. In my case, that meant the garage wall  which was easy to do. Others have a closet or utility room behind their fridge that works well too.

This was one of the *best* tips I learned here. :-)

You can also just recess the fridge into the wall studs, without bumping out the wall behind the fridge. I did this and I gained 4 inches to make my full depth fridge look counter depth.

My fridge sticks out quite a bit and it bugs me, but just a cursory look and really no one makes a 24" full sized fridge! Even the so called counter-depths sticks out good 3" beyond the standard 24" counter.

So 1st, u gotta find the proper 23" fridge, +1" clearance, then u can decide whether u can live with the reduced volume and whether to have a 2nd fridge somewhere else.

My LG Refrigerator sticks out also since my is a full depth almost 33" wide stainless steel refrigerator. I wish I got the almost 36" wide counter depth refrigerator but maybe if I reface my cabinets or paint them, I will see if I can make the refrigerator look built in or I will just live with it since it looks like Bobb_2010's picture but with French Doors and 3" of room on one side since I did have room for the bigger refrigerator but my client who has become my friend kept telling me it would not fit.

Clearance on the sides is really for the doors to be able to swing fully out. 3" should not be necessary if the fridge is "peeking out" enough for the doors actions.

I think mine is going to look like bobb 2010's pic does, except mine is not at the end of a cabinet run, I do have cabinets on both sides. And that is what I figured that the box of the fridge will stick out 6" past the cabinets.

And in my case, I cannot recess it into the wall. I'll have to see what it looks like once it is installed, hopefully it won't bug me too badly.

As an alternative to recessing your full depth refrigerator, you could make that run of cabinets deeper if you have enough room to do so. We have a regular depth Samsung FD but it is in a wall of cabinets that we have pulled out an extra 6" from the wall (false wall behind top and bottom cabinets) so the side panels surrounding the fridge line up with the edge of the 30" deep counter next to it. Could you post a layout? Is the layout already set in stone or can you do tweaks like recessing the fridge into the wall or pulling the surrounding cabinets forward? Finding this forum was a mixed blessing for me since so much of my kitchen was unchangeable by the time I found it but I was so happy to get all the suggestions for the things I could still modify.

Counter on both sides? That will BUG u big time. Here u have a long even counter and BAM, what's that thing sticking out in the middle?! The 3 examples given here are not so objectionable because are at the end. I feel ur wallet hurting :(
