I made the bypass. I just walk into the hardware store and envision what I need. No list. That particular one I made of all 1/2 pvc. So, one would need 1/2 pvc pipe, a ball valve, two T couplings, two slip x male threaded elbows, and two female threaded unions. Plus primer and glue. To fit mine to a hose, I needed a 1 male and 1 female hose connecter to pvc adapters. Just make sure that one of the last pieces in place is a section of pipe from a T to the ball valve. In other words, put the injector in place, and then determine the length of the final piece of pipe between the ball valve an a T. The blue one in the photo I posted above was 1/2 inch, identical to the one you provided a link to. Significantly larger than the smallest mazzei. The best price I was able to find on mazzie injectors was the source they linked to on their site. Kisko Sales Playing with the 283 Saturday, I started to time how many gpm flowed through it, and how much it would take up, but someone decided to start a shower in the middle of filling a 5 gal bucket, so the flow rate changed with the pressure change. I didn't have time to start over and move everything over to the secondary irrigation source. But I did note that the flow exiting my hose may have been less than 1 gpm, and the suction rate was very high. Much higher than I expected. Emptied 1/2 gallon in a min or two. As I mentioned above, I definitely need the bypass to slow down the uptake rate, and provide reasonable flow for a hose end shower sprayer. Late Sat I was able to get it all setup with diluted sulfuric acid, dial in the bypass, and now my water coming out of the hose is a pH of 5. Perfect for the blueberries I need all this for. You only need the cheaper poly propylene. I got one PP and one NPVDF. I will use the NPVDF when I setup the acid on an automated irrigation system, not this portable hose setup where I am using more dilute sulfuric acid. I donâÂÂt know that I need the NPVDF, but it does have higher chemical resistance and heat resistance, so when IâÂÂm using more concentrated acid in the irrigation setup, I wanted the more durable NPVDF to last longer. The mazzie salesman I spoke with convinced me there may be enough heat creation with concentrated acid injection that the NPVDF was a worth considering. For fertilizer, PP is more than adequate.

I did end up getting it working again last night after I replaced the head gasket actually and tilled a few rows of the garden but it's not entirely fixed yet. The fuel tank gasket is beyond shot, so when it runs it's leaking fuel out from between the carb and the tank (or at least I'm assuming the reason fuel is leaking is because half of that gasket is missing). I didn't replace it last night because it was getting dark and I didn't feel like screwing with the carb at that point so I'll do it today. Second problem now is that it runs on pretty low power now, which I'm assuming is an issue with the carb jet being out of whack. I'll adjust it today and see if that makes a difference now that it's running. Third, and this was totally unexpected, but I can live with it, is that it won't shut off now with the throttle lever! The wire is hanging out below the fuel tank, so I thought if I grounded it, it would shut off, but that didn't do anything, so I just disconnected the spark plug. Not 100% sure where that wire is supposed to go, but I'll figure it out... Regardless, it's miles ahead of where I've been for a couple of weeks now because it actually runs!

Rio_Grande, Thanks for the pointers - I like the 3 valves and it doesn't cost much more. My requirements are much less lofty than yours. I have 2 5' strawberry towers with 100 plants each. The towers are filled with tapla's 1-1-1 mix (no organic/fertilizer present). The towers need daily watering (with the crushed granite, think hot concrete if allowed to dry) and daily fertilizing. I don't like my EZ-Flo injector, so I want to use/try a venturi. I want the bypass in order to be able to (attempt to) get the right mix of fertilizer into the stream. That, and I must be crazy. Since this is incredibly small scale (although I may want 2 since I have a tower of strawberries on the deck as well) I don't think I need 1" PVC - frankly the smaller the better if it works since I'm on drip into the top of two towers. Attached is a picture of the 'demo' tube which is shorter and is on the deck. It is 8" inner diameter cell core PVC. The other two towers are in the garden at the back of the photo. This is (obviously) a pre-planting picture. All was going well until my water timer broke last year and everything baked. So I reordered and refilled the towers again this year. I'll even remember to use fresh batteries (although that wasn't the problem)! Andrew

Both hot and neutral are considered "current carrying." For each hot you must have a corresponding neutral, with one exception: you can have two hots on a single neutral if you wire them as a Multi-Wire Branch Circuit. In a MWBC, you have the two hots on opposing phases. In this scenario, phase A will cancel out its part of the "return" current from phase B, and vice versa. If the load on each side is exactly the same, there will be a net zero return current on the neutral. In no case will the maximum load on the neutral exceed that of a single hot. You only need different wire colors insomuch as you must differentiate between hot, neutral, and ground. The short of it is, ground may be either bare or green, and neutral may be either white or gray. Hot is pretty much open, and you may even use the same color for all of them--using different colors for ease of identification is at your discretion. Also, you may redesignate the white wire in an NM cable as a hot (for two-wire 240v applications) by wrapping the ends with a hot-appropriate colored electrical tape. If you want to have three circuits, you will have either three hot/neutral pairs, or one hot/neutral pair and a two-hot/one-neutral MWBC. If you wish to run a single ground conductor, one of the Pros will have to chime in as to how to size it. Metal romex connectors should be fine. Plastic ones are also available.
