About the cruise you gifted them with? I bet they are! Expecially, Parke,Jr!!! How exciting for a kid his age to get to go on a CRUISE!! He'll be talking about it for a long long time!!!

He's all excited.
I had for he and his dad bars of Godiva candy, with a PJR and PSR cruise sheet for them to unwrap after they indulged in Alaska cole slaw.

Things may not work out with is dad going, due to work, but PJR and I are definitely going. He got to look on line the different excursions.

WIll talk with travel agent tomorrow.

Be it two or three of us, we'll go.

Glenda, I love your adoration of Parke, Jr. I have a young person in my extended family that I feel the same about. They can do no wrong, even when they do wrong! Haha! Parke, Jr. has certainly grown from an adorable little boy into a fine, handsome young man. And I know he adores his grandmother.

What a nice gift, Glenda. And good for you for including your DIL despite the history there. Of course that was the right thing to do. Were you surprised that she came? How about going out and buying your own toilet seat (I agree that they think you're kidding), and then telling Parke Sr. that it would be a wonderful gift if he could install it for you? It's really not difficult, but I understand that that's not the point and you don't want to do it. So get the seat you want and ask him to put it on for you. Happy New Year!

Good pics of a fun hobby, Glenda. Parke Jr looks so much like Parke Sr and even with the mask he is very easy to recognize. He has the same eyes and forehead. He will probably enjoy next duty in Virginia. Good luck to him and best wishes for his future.

July 30, for 7 days roundstrip from Seattle. That is a wait and see, tomorrow when he finds out the date for school opening.

Otherwise, we can schedule for a week before.

I'm working with Brownell here.

And to see if he needs a passport.

Be aware if you take your GS without both parents, you will need notarized copies from both parents authorizing you to take him along with certified/notarized copy of his birth certificate. Plus authorized/notarized letters for medical treatment. If we had taken our GD's with us, that is what was required. Check with your travel agent and if you go across any borders, especially Canada for requirements.

Most important, do all of you have passports? I was turned back driving to Niagara Falls last year because I didn't have one.

Glenda, I hope PSR is able to go with you, but even if he can't, you and PJR will have a wonderful time...creating memories that will stay with him for the rest of his life. Enjoy!!

I feel like I'm walking in mid conversation but I'm just catching up from the holiday weekend. So you and Parke Jr. are going on a cruise?

And how was the Alaska cole slaw? I've had that recipe for a couple of years but have never tried it.

Checked with school, and if we go the 30th of July, his school starts the day after we get back, so I'm looking at dates in June.

Will make the final decision on dates and book by this Wed.
He doesn't need a passport, per what travel agent told me today, BUT he will need a certified letter of permit from parents if it is just the two of us. Looking more like it will be the two of us. That's fine.

Lana, I'll put a post on the Ak slaw thread. I modified it a bit and I love my version.

That will be so much fun! We took our DD, DS,DIL and 3 and 6 year old DGS's on a Christmas cruise, best Christmas ever. We had fun, fun.

We loved our Alaska cruise and thinking of doing a cruisetour this summer, if we can and going into the interior and then cruising back down to Vancouver.

Have fun and I know you will~
