Mature size is supposed to be about 12" high and 25" wide. I think it's supposed to be a slow grower. Mine has 4 eyes and is 15" wide by 7" high. I imagine that mine will be much wider, as each eye really spreads out, kind of like a fan. This one gets a fair amount of afternoon sun. I love the substance and cupping of the leaves. And, it seems to be holding its color well despite the amount of sun it's getting. Wish I could say the same for Scooter to the left of it. That one's edges are melting out. Gesila

We have a tan / stained concrete pool deck (4 ft wide) being - saw cut - being put in next week - will try to post photos for you once it is complete! Adjacent to tan concrete will be pavers leading into a paver patio - we considered doing all pavers but thought the tinted concrete is easy on the feet around the pool deck, would save us some money because it was included in our pool package and might provide a nice accent color as well. Hope we made the right decision - will post pics once I have some!

Thank you terriks for the Photoshop example. I appreciate your taking time to address a solution to a situation. I'm going to keep your post. Actually, the subject matter in this painting is also quite large and not something to be viewed up close. To take the posted photo I moved close to include more of the room contents and I believe this changes the relationship of the art as one might view it were you here. In our home, the piece is viewed looking across the LR from the Entry, or while descending the stairway and I am confortable with how it hangs. It only seems high when you step into the LR and then you are too close to take in the entire subject. Thank you all for the critiques, I am not defensive but am unable to provide you with a real life perspective.

Markar: Sorry, I don't think I can post pictures anytime very soon--I've never done it and don't have time to learn right now, though I have read the instructions on this site. I have pictures on my camera but as yet they are not on my computer or a photo sharing site. I will post some eventually but not sure when. I have lurked for over a year but never posted til now so I'm a novice at this. Basically, I did away with the corner cabinet and cabinets on the sides of the range that used to be part of an L-shaped kitchen. I find corner cabinets awkward and/or a waste of space, and then there were the reasons above for not putting cabinets on the sides of the stove. So now my sink wall, one leg of the L, is the only run of countertop I have, with open shelving above and below. The stove wall, the other leg of the L, has the range in the middle, a tall narrow freestanding metal cabinet to the right which still allows access to the end of the sink wall shelving, and some narrow soapstone shelves sitting on brackets attached to the wall to the left of the stove but with a few inches of space between them and the stove. Perhaps that description is as clear as mud...I will post pictures when I can get around to it. Hope I'm not hijacking this thread too badly.
