Some people and some origination's will do anything for money. As it cost $$$ to get a trademark, wonder where she is getting the money? Sure hope she does not get it or some xxxx lawyer will be suing everyone for even mentioning the name.

There was an article about her within the last couple of weeks, that said that she had agreed to go on some show as long as they agreed NOT to call her Octomom. I guess the truth comes out -- you can't trademark something that is in common, widespread usage. For example, the name Kleenex® is a registered trademark, so the Kimberly-Clark Corporation wants folks to use "facial tissue" when taking about the stuff in a generic manner, because they don't want the usage of "kleenex" to become so common that they lose the trademark protection. And if this bimbo does get to trademark the word Octomom, she will sue the pants off anyone who uses it without her permission.

Like I said, Financial Planner - she'll find a way to get money somehow. Even if no one wants her to sponsor products, etc, she'll get plenty from anyone using her name. How ingenious.

I keep telling myself not to get wrapped up in her stories, because I find myself becoming too critical, and I'm normally not like that. I try to give her the benefit of the doubt - she has some real issues, and it probably won't get much better. I think the kids will do fine, somehow - maybe through some intervention by gov't or others. But I really wish she would get some help before all of this becomes too much reality for her. Then I would worry - especially for the kids.

I just heard that she is doing a reality show that will be shown in the UK only and they will film her family for the next 18 years! Six times a year for 18 years!!! When those kids get older they will hate her for this!

Suleman is here in Southern California. She was on an LA radio station a week or so ago, one that a good friend of mine is the morning show producer. Nadya made it very clear that they were not to call her Octomom as she hates the name (and I don't blame her one bit). The fact that she is trademarking the name shows me that regardless of how she feels about the name, she may be able to make a buck from it. I sincerely feel this woman has more business brains and gumption than people give her credit for and certainly more than most people.

This woman has been collecting food stamps, and SSI checks for her first six kids all along, and she herself was living off of disability checks before this last octo birth. Her parents bought her house for her. Volunteers care for her new babies.

Business brains? Financial planner? What am I missing and not seeing?

I hope she does get paid well for her TV show so she can end the government assistance she is getting. Maybe she can turn her house into a "church" like the Duggars did? I hope any money from these TV shows goes to a trust fund for the kids. I would hate to see these kids grow up under the glare of cameras and the money paid from the TV company all spent on press-on nail tips and lip plumper.

I really feel sorry for all 14 of her children, and hope she does not plan anymore invitro work to be done to have more children.

I hope the kids have a chance to grow up healthy.

If she has income, I would certainly hope and think that she would have to use it to pay off that hospital bill.

The IRS and welfare need to keep an eye on her income....just my 2 cents.

Clearly she's not a stupid girl because she knows how to worm her way around and out of things, but I really think someone else is giving her ideas.

I wouldn't call it business brains and gumption. That's sounds too positive and legit. She's a scammer and a user. She worked for just a couple of years out of her life and somehow managed to get an education, plastic surgery, fertility treatment, and she is obviously used to higher end luxuries (she was shopping for high-end make-up and clothing right after having the babies). She didn't care that her parents went bankrupt and lost a home trying to help her raise her children.

I do think she will use her 'skills' to get rich off of these babies which is great for the taxpayers but I still think she's a major nut case.

I would say the same thing about that Dugger family. Although the next generation seems to be embracing the same income path as the parents. - live off your children instead of working.

If she makes enough money from the private sector, and spends it appropriately (not a given), perhaps that will relieve some of the financial burden to CA taxpayers.

She should be mandated to repay all she has taken from Ca. and any other organizations. Volunteers are doing it by choice, but the taxpayers and hospital didn't have that luxury.

Frankly, I don't know how she got away with saying she was using college financial aid to fund present expenses--when she wasn't even in college! Surprised they didn't crack down on her immediately.
