Need contact with Dances andCherryfizz,

Hi everyone,

My cousin died in Windsor the other day, the funeral is tomorrow morning and I'm to leave here in the early morning riding with my cousin.

We're not coming back till Thursday so I'm hoping that I may be able to get in contact with Dances and cherryfizz while there.

If you have seen one of their posts lately, please tell me where it is, as I want to send them a message to get addresses and phone (I have them here ... somewhere) and find out what plans they have in the next couple of days.

I found a posting from Dances and just sent a message to her.

I see that cherryfizz has posted one, about taking keys to bed, so guess that I can contact her through that.

I hope that we can get together.

Will need to have someone tell me, " ... where to go", I guess.

I'm riding with my cousin, so will be a bit mobility disadvantaged.

Mary, if you're going to be the city of Chicago proper and on the north side I got all my pine bark fines at The Farmer's Market on 4400 (something) north on Elston. That was the only place in the city proper that I could find that had this. I bought my last bags for this season there yesterday and saw they have about 1/2 pallet left. I don't think they're going to order any more of that this year.

"? Would the dance pad for PS2 work on the Wii?".. Isn't Wii made by Nintendo and PS by Sony? I would doubt very much that it would work for Wii! And if you got one for Wii, you would need to by the dvd too. It would be cheaper to buy just the one knew pad for the PS2 I'd think! lol but,,,,,,," sharing conflicts from time-to-time" so get the whole new system for the Wii!

I mentioned this challenge to a young indian woman who works for me. She is going through a match organization to find an indian bf/husband.. she just giggled. She said she was going to tell her intended that she wanted a small dinosaur. "Not a big one-- a small one so I could hold on!" I couldn't stop laughing. I reread your post this morning and note that you said the preference was western style. I have to agree that to do some faux version of traditional indian dress isn't very appropriate. Given the cost of the elephant parade, I'd think if they WANTED you in traditional indian dress, they'd have provided an outfit.. or given some direction. Going ahead with that assumption, I would look for something comfortable, colorful and that will drape and flow nicely as you dance. I like dressier linen wide-legged pants or a dress with a sheer shawl or shoulder scarf. Given that you liked the color of the shirt above, I thought I'd share this top from talbots.. I have it in the sun kissed coral (pictured) but it also comes in a gorgeous turquoise and an emerald green. I could see these paired with either pants or a skirt and a light scarf draped around your arms. Jjill also has a number of sleeveless tops that are colorful and simple and would look great with jewelry and scarves.. they also have light linen ponchos that could work with the right pants. Orange and coral seem to be very big this year. I wear mine with a suit jacket but it is a style that can go dressy or casual.

Really is your choice. I sometimes cut nearly spent stems to dry indoors. Most of the time I just leave them in place overwinter until I do a spring clean up. I kind of like the way they look in winter - flowers (although dry) when not much of anything else is flowering. If you prefer to do a clean up in fall and like things nice and tidy over winter or you have to apply winter protection, you can remove them. Just cut back the spent flower stem to the next set of buds below the flowerhead. This is just deadheading and won't affect next year's flowering.

I found that a message sent to myself arrived in under three minutes, so assume that theirs did, as well.

I'd better tak my sleeping bag, I think - who knows where I'll be sleeping.

Anyhow, let me know if you have trouble finding a place to stay, I wouldn't want you roaming the streets in your pajama's ;). Where is your cousin staying?

Thank you everyone for your help.

We were busy with the funeral and after-gatheriungs for the whole day, with lunch together at a golf club, then gathered at cousin's number One Son's house for the afternoon, followed by about 30 of us to a Chinese restaurant for supper, then back to Bill's sister's where the cousin who drove down had planned to stay - they were born on two successive days, over 80 years ago, 22 hours apart, so have been special friends over the years. I didn't need to use my sleeping bag, after all ... but it's a good idea to attend a gathering, prepared.

I might have known that it would be difficult to connect with Anne and Dances, for a couple of years ago when we gathered at Dances, I'd planned to at least call my relatives ... but we were busy all day, and I didn't.

In addition, this time I didn't have wheels.

I apologize to Anne and Dances for raising a fuss ...

... over what ended up being nothing.

I hope to visit before long, to spend some time with Bill's widow, so perhaps we can get together then.

I'm frustrated tonight - the computer is shutting down from time to time ... unannounced. So I've lost some writing - got a virus the other day the AVG didn't clean out.

Grr-r-r!
