Our trip to Key West (part 1)

We drove to Key West on Thursday. We stayed at the Naval Air Station that has a travel camp.

The first day that we were there all it did was pour and pour. So we stayed inside and read or played on the computers. We were notified that we would be moving to a site with full hookups on Saturday morning.

Our first two nights we didn't have any hookups, this was the view from the front of our motor home.

Luckily Saturday dawned sunny and beautiful with hardly any humidity and cool temperatures. Just a perfect day for me since I am allergic to humidity. We drove into town and took the tour train ride, which goes all around town and the driver tells you all kinds of neat stuff and points out all the landmarks and history.

There are some gorgeous old buildings painted in gorgeous colors. Lots of Ginger Bread work on the porches too.

There was a statue of Marilyn Monroe on the sidewalk. It is hard to take pictures from a moving vehicle with lots of pot holes and bumps in the road. LOL
