Don't know if it's the same, but I bought some Tramontina tri-ply pieces at TJMaxx a few years ago. Virtually identical to my All Clad stuff, except for a slight difference in the handles and lids. Same thickness and I can't tell any difference in performance. Good stuff! Sidenote: I bought some cheap (3 pans for $12) Tramontina non-stick pans from Wal Mart about a dozen years ago. Don't use the larger ones anymore, but the little 7" egg pan is still going strong. Had it in the dishwasher, use metal tools, don't baby it at all. There are a few scuffs on the non-stick surface, but no scratches or flaking at all. So much for a "disposable" pan I figured would be good for maybe two years... Tramontina makes some nice stuff. I wouldn't hesitate to try anything they sell, if it was the type of cookware I was looking for. Disclaimer: Opinions expressed are based on the author's personal experience only. Most window companies use Phifer UltraVue mesh for their "high transparency" screens. You can get a sample from Home Depot and compare it to standard charcoal mesh. You may not see much of a difference from 5 feet away, but look at both screens from 15 feet and the UltraVue screen will be nearly invisible. Not all companies will use UltraVue on a door screen, however (because the mesh is delicate and not feasible for large sizes). So they may have substituted Phifer BetterVue, which is still better than standard charcoal, but not nearly as transparent as UltraVue. The same principle applies to retracting screens -- companies are very reluctant to use lighter mesh on a retracting screen, because it is very delicate and can get twisted up when it rolls back into the tube.

Do the Le Crueset tri-ply line have glass lids? I haven't seen this brand locally. Glass lids are one of my high priorities because I like to keep track of my simmering and when water is about to boil. All the Tramontina I've seen at Tuesday Morning have that groove around the bottom that I don't like. Also, the pieces I've seen have a seam underneath the lip at the top. Both the groove and the seam worry me because I know they'll tend to catch all the drips and messes of cooking and then be harder to clean. DH is always helpful but not really the most finicky pot washer and I like to encourage him by keeping things simple for him. He absolutely would not remember to turn the cookware over all the time to make sure he got all the crevices clean.

I painted my Azek exterior trim black (SW Seal Skin). It does expand and contract a bit, but not much more than if not painted. The paint has held up well going on 5 years now.
