The Kitchen Table

nodakgal...saw some florals

of the daisies your dd likes at michaels...they were single flowers on a card, and i don't know exactly what you could use them for...but they were in fall colors...about $1.50 a blossom...maybe for the bridesmaids hair? on the table or attached to bows??

then these darling miniture paper flowers with tiny brads...(wrong colors for your wedding pastels) but was thinking they'd look so pretty on invitations for showers... bet they have scrapbooking punches to make them...but the tiny brads??

Whoooooo they sound cute Susan! I'm amazed you remembered the gerbera daisies!
We found some long stemmed ones for the bridesmaids to carry and some for the brides bouquet. BM's are each going to carry a different color bouquet, like one will carry a orangish bouquet, one is reddish/maroon, ummmm shoot I can't remember all the colors! LOL But should look good with the black dresses. Brides bouquet will have mostly white and one of each of the BM's colors, Miss Maddie will carry a single yellow daisy. Now we are having trouble finding small (like 2 or 3 inch) gerberas for boutineeres for the guys. I think I found some online and I know she'd rather match each guys bout to the color of the bridesmaid's flowers but I can't find all the colors! Going to look a little more and see what we can come up with, I may go see if Michaels has the ones you saw online!

I'm glad you mentioned this!

Shoot I couldn't see them online. I wonder if the single ones could be used to float in a bowl of water too, or the other ways you said.

I don't think the town we went to has Michaels. We went to Hobby Lobby and the florals were very nice!! Plus 50% off! LOL Still have to get more tho for the boutineres, the toss bouquet and some decorations.

Beautiful! Here are some other artists that live near me that are doing world-class work. I adore them - they are both even nicer than their art - which is stunning! https://wineandcountrylife.com/maria-pace/ https://wineandcountrylife.com/gold-medal-botanical-art-in-virginia/

OK, I received 3 emails, so the first pile is spoken for. Anyone else that wants to email me, go ahead - I will save your address and send you some as I get them. I think I'll probably get 10 every week or so.

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. I will be making a few more a double Dresden is one of them. Light grey is a great idea. I will try both white and grey. I've also seen some quilts with a pieced background, which adds to the randomness. I take pictures of individual blocks and us powerpoint to audition different layouts.

Anyone have Floral Fairy Tale from RU
Q

Patty - I have Floral Fairy Tale, but from Palatine, not RU, sorry. However I thought it worth mentioning that I am experiencing a very great difference in it's blooms this year, it's fourth with me. Last year I loved it's blooms, they were my favorite of my roses since I love pink/apricot fluffy roses, and that's what it gave me. One measured 5". This year started out OK, not as nice as last summer, but presently I have a bush full of small blooms which start as a yellow I don't care for and then fade to pure white. I'm hoping that fall weather brings a return of the pinks. I'm used to changes in roses from season to season, but I've never had this much change. Blooms from last year: Earlier this year: And now: I have never noticed any fragrance from it, but I don't have a good nose for that, and no, I've not seen many thorns on it.

dh and i saw them in person almost at the check out...i was trying to findout whether you could get fresh for the wedding but other than standard roses, etc, it's hard to find in the fall..

don't suppose anyone has a costco near you? they have such pretty roses and so cheap it's almost unbelievable...and our flower lady in the store was able to order certain colors...here's their wedding site...

Here is a link that might be useful: http://www.costco.com/Common/Category.aspx?cat=62777&eCat=BC:62777&lang=en-US&whse=BC&topnav=

Those are some good prices, but unfortunately the only place I have heard of Costco is here at the KT! LOL I don't think there are any in the entire state of ND.
