If you bought one that had a hem at the bottom that was open on each end you could buy some of the drapery weight cord and thread thru the hem.

Sue, you can buy little suction cups made especially for shower curtains. They are glued to the liner....just be sure to put them in the right spot.

Most of the liners that I've purchased over the years come with those suction cups, but I have had to purchase them a time or two.

Hmmm..I double up my fabric curtains. Once the inside plain curtain gets a bit wet, it doesn't move. The pretty one stays on the outside of the tub.

You can buy clip on weights, or you can glue quarters or heavy washers to the bottom edge. Use a clear silicone caulk that is made for wet areas like GE2 all weather outdoor silicone caulk.

I love this shower curtain I got at bed bath and beyond. It is a very good quality waffle weave hookless so it's super easy to put on and off. Plus the liner is built in and just snaps on. I have an extra liner so I can swap them out regularly to wash with bleach. Best shower curtain I have ever bought and it still looks as good today as when I bought it a few years ago. I have white but they have other colors.

Hey, Raven! I have that shower curtain, or one very similar, upstairs. It really looks attractive, doesn't it? I did buy some of those little suction cups for it, though.

No hems in the ones I've bought.

"I installed a Command hook inside the shower (spaced it the same distance as the space between the shower-curtain holes).

Then I took off the last shower-curtain hook, and I hook the shower curtain over the stick-on hook.

This makes the shower curtain turn the corner and STAY inside the enclosure.

I also push the last shower-curtain hook up against the wall."

You can also go to an office supply store or area and look for the binder clips you can clip those to the bottom in a few places. They are easy to put off and on. Here I found a link with pictures for you. Some people carry these when they travel because so many places use the super cheap thin liners that are really bad about doing that, nice good heavy quality liners won't.

Also you have to understand that you are somewhat creating a weather situation in a shower which is why the shower curtain is blowing around, hot damp air inside cool dry air outside. What I do is always leave a little opening in the shower curtain at the front end so that some of the hot air can get out and the cool air can get in to help equalize the storm you created. Opening a window or turning on a ceiling fan or fan helps too.

Sue, look in the same department as the shower curtains/liners in Wal-Mart, etc. They come as a little pair of the cups on a small rectangular vinyl tab. It's the tab that is affixed to the curtain. As I recall, there are two sets per package.

I wouldn't be surprised to find them anywhere that shower accessories are sold. Ask for shower liner suction cups.

This is just too funny, the link that raven posted is a hoot! I thought it was just US! HAHAHA! The sad thing is that all this could be eliminated if they would just make a nice heavy weight liner like they USED TO! So many things nowadays are so cheaply made. I was using the magnetized chip clips from the dollar store on mine, it works well. Plus my tub is cast iron so it actually sticks. I love those cute weights! OH and that contraption that pushes the curtain away is just hilarious, I need that!

One thing that has helped a lot is that I put a very thin liner behind my decorative cloth curtain and then I use a nice heavy duty clear liner for my actually liner that is inside the tub and it doesn't blow anymore. I guess having that extra plastic keeps the air out. I just bought one of those one dollar ones for the cheap liner.

If you have a hand held shower, just wet the side of the tub and wall on the faucet end carefully, as not to wet the entire bathroom. The liner will stick to the wet tub and wall surface. Works for me.

Great responses, KTers. I will show all these to my DD tomorrow and we will decide which way to go. My last liner that had magnets worked fine, and they stuck to the tub. I used it way past its prime, but finally had to let it go. Wonder why they stuck, but the ones we buy now don't? Same tub.

The magnets don't stick now because they absolutely and positively are the weakest old magnets EVER! If you can find some super strong magnets and do them like that link that raven posted.

I wouldn't be surprised if those office supply objects containing metal parts developed rust in just a few weeks if subjected to water every day as in a shower.

They do rust, for sure. I use a very large folder clip on my back door outside to clip the dogs run onto for fast assess when it's time to let the dog out...it is very rusted but it doesn't matter because there's nothing for it to ruin on the back door where it's attached to. It would stain your bath tub.

The magnets won't stick because most modern bathtubs are made of acrylic or fiberglass,not cast iron as they used to be. You can still buy cast iron tubs. I just wet my hand and pull it down the side of the shower curtain and run it down against the tub wall. Sticks every time. BUT once you wash the curtain in the washer it won't stik anymore.

I've never had a problem with the shower curtain flying around. I have a shower curtain and a heavy duty liner. I just got it at Walmart. The liner was $10 so it's not a cheapie one, but it's heavy and doesn't move.

My last shower curtain contained ceramic magnets and those do work for me. (Made in China, what did I expect?) I have a iron based tub with enamel finish. Plastic insert style tubs and combination shower stall-tub are non-magnetic.

Sintered magnets are more resistant to corrosion than a plain soft iron slugs.

Weights are helpful if heavy enough. One needs small sizes bricks for this. I do advise a brick-like material because of corrosion concerns. Brass and bronze are alternatives. Iron based materials will rust, stain, and get ugly.
