cleaning a shower curtain liner daily with what??
Comments (5)MDH--Hi!! the shower liner is vinyl, the nice hotel style--10 bucks at BB&B, but I guess I'll just buy one every month or so. :( Graywings-- lord I wish I could change the water filter etc.......wish I could change A LOT, but it's a rental. :((((( My landlord and I worked together on the bed/bath issue. We checked out both beds, the only one with the prob was the master bed in that empty middle. so he completely filled it with wood and cement blocks, and he put a super duper high power but quiet exhaust fan in the bath (5' away from bed) and its sucks out all in a heartbeat. amazing!! we are also talking going under the house with insulation. and yes. mattress is slowly breaking in. It was hell at first, I cried. but I hung in there, and now slowly starting to love it--I sleep thru the night and thru my husband's showers at 5am --just 5' away!! He hates it, so sleeps in man cave LOL! my issue now is the mattress pad/cover.--I'll post a Q on a thread in appropriate topics. SO.....I guess I'll just have to go thru my neighbors mailboxes and grab the BB&B coupons LOL since I'll be there on and off for a long time no?? :]...See MoreHotel shower curtains - act as liners too
Comments (22)Dreaming, thanks. I didn't explain it very well, but you did. :) A friend of mine has a curved rod, but it's installed so that the widest part of the arc is parallel with the tub and the rod ends are inset more into the alcove, essentially negating the benefit of the curve. I studied some photos of curved rods on Houzz and finally understood: The ends are where a straight rod would be mounted and the curve gives you a space bonus. Plus the curtain slides off to the side very nicely. Now I just have to come to grips with drilling holes in my new tile. I don't know why that gives me such heartburn. :) It's been over 15 years since I've had a shower curtain. I used to be enamored with the clear plastic ones. When we bought this house and saw there were clear glass doors, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Never thought I'd be excited about another shower curtain again. I bought two at BB&B and even the $13 one looks great....See MoreWhich direction is a shower curtain liner supposed to face?
Comments (14)I think think it may be for a 3' long shower; most curtains and liners are 6' long. I simply take scissors to the liner and carefully cut them in half, which also means each one lasts twice as long as I later replace the first half with the second. This would be more difficult for a curtain though if like me you don't have a sewing machine. This post was edited by lee676 on Thu, Oct 2, 14 at 13:57...See MoreShower Curtain and Liner on Rod
Comments (15)Judiegal, I ordered that rod and it is sitting in the garage. Had seen them at Bed Bath & Beyond, but thought I was getting one similar to what I used to have when I ordered. It might work, will have to play with it when they finish the tile. If you put the two curtains through the same hooks then you would have a place to hang towels. I have wondered about the curved rod. The area for the curtain is pretty close. Will look into that. My GD had one and loved it. The old one I have would be perfect but it is a dainty filigree design. I bet it is at least 25 years old which would not matter, but it doesn't go with the tile too well. Thanks for all the replies. You gave me some great advice as usual. DL...See MoreTerri_PacNW
