It's good to know I'm not the only one who takes research & development seriously! :-)

I decided on the Bikini Martinis for my birthday celebration with my family, and brought a batch next door to the gathering, along with the grenadine so I could add that individually. Everyone liked them. I wish I'd used the small cans of pineapple juice. I opened a big can because it sounded like I was making a lot. But I had so much juice left over!

Do I know the Marlenetini? (How quickly we forget!)

Here's one I wrote down. I have the ingredients, but haven't tried it. It sounds awfully strong.

Deluxe White Chocolate Mmmmartini

1 part white Creme de Cacao
1 part vanilla vodka

Drop 5 mini chocolate chips into a chilled martini glass. Shake ingredients with ice and strain into the glass.

Oh, and I forgot the Malibu Bay Breeze. This is one you serve over ice. It's very yummy, and a pretty color. I'm looking forward to serving it when the weather warms up. I'm guessing it will have less of a kick because coconut rum (like the flavored vodkas) has a somewhat lower alcohol content.

1.5 oz. coconut rum
2 oz. pineapple juice
2 oz. cranberry juice (or cranberry-pomegranate, which is what I used)

Put ingredients into an ice-filled glass. Stir and enjoy.

That sounds good too! I bought a cocktail shaker today( never had one) that has a strainer in it and also had shot glass with it. It was the only one left on the shelf...just waiting for me! The Bikini Martini was a good choice for your party. It is good! Will update tomorrow night! lol!

I made the "Marlenetini" and liked this one too! I used the cherry vodka I had so plain vodka may be a little different as far as taste. I like the splash of Ginger Ale as it gives it some froth and I used the rest of the small can of pineapple & shook it all up. This filled up my martini glass along with some crushed ice. So, another keeper! I'll look for the small cans /bottles of cranberry juice to use with the one you posted.

Here is what sounds like a good one to serve for summer parties & you could leave out the vodka. Just found this. From..countrydoor.com

Strawberry Slush
one 46 oz can pineapple juice
one large can frozen lemonade, thawed
1 tablespoon almond extract
four- 16 oz. pkgs. frozen strawberries, thawed ( I would prob. put these in the blender a bit myself)
one pint vodka (optional)

Use a large bowl or an empty plastic ice cream pail. Mix all ingredients well. Put in container, cover, and freeze. Scoop slush into individual glasses and add 7-UP or Sprite.

Kamikaze Drink

1 oz. Triple Sec (Cointreau)
1 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Lime Juice
1 wedge Lime
Mixing Instructions
Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wedge and a stir stick.

Glenda, that sounds good too! I have some Triple Sec on hand but it may be 3 or 4 yrs.old. I wonder if it goes bad as it is opened. It doesn't seem to have the stronger orange smell. I haven't tasted it yet. I used it in holiday desserts.
