THANK YOU so much for the birthday wishes!! Yesterday was a great day... I got to spend a few hours outside (in the heat!) "playing" with the hostas, which was awesome... potted up some "give-away" divisions of hostas that are duplicates (I love to enable others!!) Then we went out to dinner at Fleming's, a fantastic new-ish prime steakhouse in the area. The food was fantastic, I was stuffed to the brim! They provided a huge helping of freshly-baked peach cobbler a la mode as my birthday dessert, and I shared it with hubby :-) Then we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3, too fun! Hubby got me a gift certificate to a spa for a pedicure (I can't WAIT to go!), and hubby's parents sent me some $$ to get a new hosta, so Janice, you ARE psychic and I will be making a trip to Meadow View or Knollwood's, sometime soon! You all will probably laugh at this, but I had a bit of a "milestone" birthday yesterday... I turned 30 years old :-) I was a bit depressed to not be in my 20's anymore, but isn't 30 the new 20?? And I guess this is as good a thread as any to spill the beans on what Janice alluded to... I am 6 months pregnant with my first baby, a little girl, due on October 4th. My goal was to have my first child by the time I turned 30, and I *almost* made it! Well, thanks again for the birthday wishes!! Buff

Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone! Busy day yesterday and it ended up being a late evening for me. EJ, I missed leap year by nine hours or so. Pork and peanut butter...two of my favorite things but not together. LOL The office crew took good care of me with doughnuts in the morning and a cake later in the day from Ann's Bakery in Tulsa. She/the bakery are very well known for wonderful baked treats. Dinner out with family and a couple of friends. Went to my favorite steak house. Surf and turf for me. Friends talked me into going to a little hole in the wall place that we like and we stayed out way to late. Spent the night at a friends as he lives around the corner. It's taking some time to get going this morning..LOL! The best thing that happened was hearing from Justin over the weekend. He posted a short note and a link to a short video on his face book page and was able to make a short five minute phone call to his DM. WOO HOO!!! The last time we heard from him was the third week of January. Communications with him have been very hit and miss since he left. He told us he should be stationary for the most part now and they are expecting hot showers by next week...there first. Thanks again! Have to get back to work now. David

Well, I'm a little late to the party but if you've got three more celebrations next week I guess the party's still going :-) Glad you had a good day (and cake) and hope you get lots more birthday hugs! I'm pretty sure that's a baby orangutan. Cute little guy :-)

Thanks again guys... I took the Bernina in and they made and adjustment right on the spot and even gave me a free pack of needles and it worked fine there... of course the minute I try to use it at home, well... we'll see what happens. The lady told me not to threaten it or use bad words because the machine will misbehave even worse! I'll try to be good... I ended up not having to work the second job last night... another guy showed up because he misread the schedule and since he doesn't have a car and I do and only live 15 minutes away, I let him stay and I traded days with him :o) Lars, I know enough to know that Mr. Foxworthy's first name is Jeff and not John :-p Nice try though.... maybe you were on coffee break when you had your redneck training session... I bet you also missed the lesson on how to spit tobacco into an empty beer can and how to keep your double wide on the ground during a hurricane as well :o) Partymusic, I'm sorry nobody has done anything for you in the last 7 years... sometimes I wish we here on the CF could start our own neighborhood or compound or something so we could all be together and enjoy and celebrate and all that happy stuff :o) Ellen, I'm going for LPN... some hospitals aren't hiring them anymore, but it's a stepping stone to get to RN. The RN classes here are hard to get into and have long waiting lists and one is more readily accepted if they are already and LPN and do a bridge program... I have to take an admission test in January and I've already purchases a huge thick study guide so I can brush up on all the stuff I forgot since high school... at least there are things called Youtube tutorials now :o)
