That's a GREAT surprise, Kevin! I just bought one of these little guys a few months back, and it sure is tiny. Doubt it'll bloom any time soon, but at least it's still alive. I have the hardest time letting the dend types dry and shrivel during the winter. Please post a pic when that spike blooms! Sharon

Great name for a great daylily! Cindy's Compulsion was one of two that caught my eye when I saw the website update a couple of days ago. Aces Full was the other one I really liked a lot.

It has been unusually hot and humid here also, less rain than normal (but not as bad as where Chisue is) as well, so, the trees are starting to drop leaves but haven't turned their usual brilliant oranges, crimsons and yellows. Last night a cold front came through - finally - with a fair amount of rain (not enough though) and the temps dropped to the low 50s. Such a pleasure to have the doors and windows open - even when it wasn't that hot, it was too sticky to leave them open this past month. Now I just hope that we don't have a quick transition to cold weather - usually we can count on pleasantly cool-to-warm days until late November - with one or two cold blustery rainstorms (seems to always be around Halloween!), and a few frosts, scattered in.
