Sorry Jannie,can't help you there.I have never found a self tanning product that looked anywhere near natural or that stayed on without making your skin look "rusty" in spots.I am fair skinned and always burned and freckled too.I wore shorts when I was younger and never worried about it,I guess because I was young and had pretty nice legs.LOL I figure when one gets older and has celullite along with the whiteness,its time to graduate to longer pants.LOL

Jergens makes a product called Natural Glow--Daily Moisturizer that colors you a little. It comes in a tube about the size of a tube of hair conditioner/gel. I use the medium--I am extremely pale, but the medium seems to be a natural appearing light coating of color. Rub it on, and it will color lightly in a few minutes. It does wash off, but if you use it like a hand cream to lubricate your legs daily or every other day after your bath, it will stay on nice.

Years ago, before all the sun/cancer/spots that we worry about now, we used Baby Oil and Iodine. Boy did we burn and tan, but then we leaved near the CA beach. And then now we do have to worry about skin cancer.

Another vote for the Jergens Natural Glow--Daily Moisturizer. I used it all last summer, since I am blond and pale and can't tolerate much sun.

I looked just nicely healthy, not tanned, but anything is better than "glowing white".

Not too sure what I'm going to do this summer, since my arthritis is now bad enough that my everyday "rub of choice" is now A535. LOL

I used to use Lancome but it's pricey and we're retired now!! It never streaked and was a pretty natural color. I just bought some (new tubes) at our HOA yard sale by Clinique but I haven't tried it yet. I also have some Jergens (forgot I had that when I bought the Clinique). Jergens sounds pretty good.

Thanks. I mainly need something to blend the blue blood vessels in a little! I have only had a tan line one time- for about two months I had a FAINT line where my watch was.

I have to go shopping next week and will look for the Jergens.

I have had good luck with Clinique, I have used it for several years on my legs. It's a nice color, I think.

I just started using the Jergens a couple of weeks ago. Seems to work good. The lady who told me about it said you didn't have to wash it off your hands cause it wouldn't make the spaces between your fingers orange. WRONG! It did. But when I started to wash my hands every time after I used it, that soon went away.

My daughter has very white skin, so translucent you can see her blue veins on her legs. She actually went to a dermatologist, who suggested she get a little sun, a tan would make her veins less noticeable. Imagine a skin doctor advising you to go in the sun without sunblock! I will tell her about the Jergens Natutral glow. .

The Jergens is very good.

Here's a hint: put regular moisturizer on your ankles and knees before applying the self-tanner. That step will help you avoid the over'tanning' of those areas.

Trust me, I learned the hard way.

The Jergens or some other type of lotion/tan seems to be the best for me too. Start AT LEAST one a week (or more) early if you want a certain day to 'look tan'. It works slowly but gives you more control than the instant tanners. If I recall in years past, the Neutrogena didn't have the tan smell some of the other lotions did. It worked very well.

My red headed Irish daughter uses the Jergens all the time...She works at the Post Office and people are always remarking on her nice tan..Along with getting a nice "tan" she said, it's very nice on the skin.. Also, I have grand daughters that compete in Irish step dancing and dancers use alot of the tanners and many do prefer the Jergens....

I am very pale with blusih-white legs. The Jergens for fair skin makes my legs look normal--not really tan, but normal enough to show in public.

Hey even us with Olive Skin have to use the self tanner on legs. I use Jergens too! And I've blown through many tests on self tanners. Be prepared to wash the orange scum out of your bathtub after shaving! LOL!

I use the Jergens too and like the results. The only complaint I have with it is that I wish it came in "unscented".

This Jergens Natural Glow sounds like a great product! Do those of you with really pale skin use the light or medium? I'd LIKE to use the medium, if it wouldn't make me look too fake or orange or streaky. But I am pretty light to begin with.
