making wind chimes with scrap hardware: my video
Comments (13)Kathy, I have one of those can openers too. I love it because there are so many things you can make from the lids, and the cans. I have made snowmen with 3 sizes of lids. Made wind chimes withe both rusty and painted cans. Use 4 different sizes-large tomato sauce or pumpkin size and then go from there, as they fit inside each other, down to small evaporated milk cans. They go inside each other about 3 inches or so....See MoreIPE sub rail - use half of a ripped 2x6

They are doing this with the soapstone as well that I am getting for my baking and pantry countertop. As I recall, when we got our master bath granite 2 years ago we got a remnant piece. Another place gave us a quote based on buying the full slab which was 3X more. So I guess it pays to shop around and see which scenario works best for your situation....See Morejohn_hyatt
