Jack In The Box, Taco Bell, Arby's and Burger King in that order. I don't do fast food that often. I am more likely to stop in a more old fashioned drive-in for a burger. We have a place called Juicy Burger that cooks to order and has a complete condiment bar.
Wendy's has the greasiest burgers to me and Carl's has such disgusting commercials I can't eat there.
We don't do fast food very often, but when we do, there's nothing fast about it. DH is very picky, and insists that each person get just what they want, so he makes the rounds and sometimes ends up going to three or four places before he's "collected" dinner. For burgers, its Burger King. For fries, it's McDonald's or Wendy's (used to love Jack in the Box fries, but they now leave the peeling on the fries and the oil is different). For other hot sandwiches, it's Jack in the Box.
It's all about the iced tea for me. Burger King does not sell unsweet iced tea, so I absolutely never eat there. Sonic has lousy iced tea, so the only time I go there is a special treat for the kids (cuz they like all the drink choices/flavor add-ins). Taco Bell/Long John Silvers (they are always together around me) also do not serve unsweet tea, so I don't go there.
In this area, Chick-fil-a has the best iced tea. They also have a very good chicken noodle soup and bowls of fresh mixed fruit, choices you just don't find most places. And inside, the manager walks the dining area and will refill drinks, bring them to your table. Good service, I don't think I've ever received an incorrect order there. They also do a lot for our local schools. They are closed on Sundays on principle, which I admire. So I have a lot of reasons to make them my favorite.
Of the choices in the title, I like Wendy's. I don't care much for fast food burgers or other sandwiches. I feel gross after eating them. But at Wendy's I get a plain baked potato and a cup of chili, then pour the chili on the potato w/sour cream. Yummy! And their tea is usually good, but not always.
we miss j in t b...for some reason they didn't make it here in mi...love arby's toasted french dip, wendy's cause i don't have to get fries...taco bell..micky d's gives us more than food, if you get my drift...
we've been going to tim horton's for the breakfast bagle blt...
We rarely go for fast food and not many choices, McDs, and Hardees. There is Taco Bell combined with the Shell gas station. Would have to drive 50 mi. or more for any of the others and with the price of gas, I think not!
McDonalds, but we very rarely eat anything there...just use their restrooms when we are traveling. There are very few towns (that are big enough to be called "towns") that don't have a McDonalds. Sometimes that is all there is with a restroom for miles around and McDonalds can usually be counted on to have a decently clean accessable place to potty. "Thank you, McDonalds"
had my first experience at 5 guys just last week...burger was OK..fries were wonderful...and Coke was coke! probably won't be a repeat customer...$10 bucks for a burger and fries is a little much! McD....what happened to their bread...last couple of times I've eaten anything on a bun there it was so dry and crumbly...even at different McDs, please change the coffee back to the oldstuff! Taco Bell soft taco's..no lettuce...great after work and on the way home...and I whole heartily agree with stephanie in ga...chick filet is SUPER for lots of reasons....did you know they award college kids scholarships and I don't think I have ever encountered a "rude" cashier at Chick Filet...
When the situation demands, I will use any of them EXCEPT for Carl's Jr -- which may only be a west coast thing. I simply despise their TV commercials.
I, too, depend on McDonald's for having clean restrooms when traveling. Even if it is between meals, I will always buy something ... even if it is just a soft drink or coffee ... because using their facilities without buying something is rude.
If I want a hamburger, I think Burger King is the best. I use to like Wendy's, it was a treat to get the Bacon Cheese Burger. No more!
Since we don't have a Burger King here, I usually go to Jack in the Box for a Salad. Before I had to watch my Diet, I loved the Sour Dough Jack. Oh, I'd still like to have one, but can't.
McD's is the only game in town (besides Subway and my son can't eat there). I really do like it but I'm sick of the menu since we eat there a few times a month.
I LOVE Wendy's food but I their service is soooooooooooo slow.
Burger King has gone way down hill in this area. There aren't too many of them left either.
Well, from reading all the above posts, I now know that I am responsible for keeping all those places in business! LOL
I'll take Sonic for their drinks, Dairy Queen for their icecream, McDonald's for their fries and Wendy's for their chili and cheese baked potatoes! LOL
I live in an area where fast food is king. DH & DS love all the places you guys mentioned & we usually hit the places we have coupons for. I usually like the salads at Wendy's or Carl's (hate their commercials, too). Burgers to me all are pretty similar & I try to stay away from them. In 'n Out makes the most authentic "real" burgers & fries so I'd pick them if I had a favorite.
I go to a fast food restaurant perhaps twice a year. When I was younger I lived on that junk, Egg McMuffins, Big Macs etc. I wisened up as the years have gone by. If I'm out with my family and that's what they want it's usually McDonalds. I go for some sort of chicken sandwich; no fries, just a small drink. I like Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips but they are hard to find anymore and besides no one else but me likes what they have.
I like Wendy's salads, especially the Mandarin Chicken and their chili.
I stopped doing McD's after the girls got older. One not mentioned is Long John Silver. The first time I went to one down here, I thought the greasiness was an error. Not so, so you won't find me there.
I'll hit Taco Bueno some and I like Burger Street.
I try hard to never do fast food any more, but we did go to Burger King last week and I ordered the $1 side salad. Pretty tastey for a salad! Of course, my pre-Weight-Watchers days would've been my favorite Whopper Jr., coke, and fries. Oh, how I loved that meal.
