Can You Identify This Light?

I had another thread started looking for a free shipping coupon from Shades of Light. But alas, no luck. They have offered me shipping to "only" be $39 if I call the order in rather than placing it online.

But before I do, can anyone identify this light so maybe I can shop around for it? I"ve only seen it on their site.

Yep, she does. I was introduced to it by her. I do have a shout out to her on the Kitchen forum to see if she sees it there--that's where she showed it to me the first time.

Many companies make such a thing. My favorite (in terms of quality and product selection) is Tech Lighting's Monorail system. They have various options, but I've attached the link to that product on their site. Good luck. I'd recommend pendants (rather than directional fixtures). I bet that white paint would come off easily, especially if they used a paint formulated for ceilings. Anyhow, I think it you take them down and remove the sockets, a soak in hot water and dish soap would soften the white paint enough to remove it without taking off the enamel polychrome colors. If that doesn't do it, I'd try putting them on the stove in a big pot of simmering water. That's worked for lots of my stuff.

I looked again and can't find it now. I thought it was either Hinkley or Hudson Valley--but I'm not finding it on either website. I recall seeing this fixture in a catalog, but its been a few months so I can't recall it exactly anymore. Another option is to take the photo to your local lighting showroom. I was on a crazy search for a lighting fixture and I finally took the photo to my local showroom. They couldn't find exactly what I was searching for (because it was a custom fixture) but they gave me several suggestions that were similar and I ended up selecting one they recommended. Good luck--I know how irritating the lighting search can be.

Romy, thanks for the advise about mixing the chrome hardware and polished nickel pendants since quite a few that I like only come in pn. There are a couple more that I should post on here to see if anyone recognizes since. Kitchen coming along, just takes me forever to do anything . I've been this way all my life and probably will never change. I should probably post my hardware choices and kitchen faucet choices to get others opinions. Maybe I'll do that during the week. Friedajune, thanks for the mock up advise when I decide on a pendent. Kim Ladin, thanks for the build.com advise. Never would have thought of that. Usually posting on here gets goods results too.

I am the queen of sourcing!

I did get the information from twn85, then I did my internet super sluething....found them on sale with a 20% off coupon at Lighting by Gregory. But I never dealt with that vendor so I went to my trusty old WeGotLites site, contacted my gal there and she beat their price along with Free Shipping.

Yay!!!!!

Beautiful fixture, but does it need special bulbs? How does it stay cool? If a lamp gets too hot, it will burn out....it appears to be solid glass.

I wish I knew about your lighting site when I was building my house...we spent $$$ on fixtures!
