Seriously debating......can I go from my lovely baby

Tahoe...to my dream car? Sydney is off to college Dylan has his license and Tanner gets his in a year.....so no more need for the big SUV.....but I love love my tahoe....no other compares but I have wanted a car for soooo long and it is a toss up.....my realy dream car the Celica I once had is too small for the dogs....but it could be either the new Dodge Challenger or the 2010 Camera.....

Stacy, I love my Tahoe, too! I'm by myself, live in Florida, and considered buying a convertable of some kind. I thought about it for a brief second, then realized that I have a MUCH better chance of surviving an automobile crash in my Tahoe, so that convinced me I already own my 'dream vehicle'.

I love, love, love that Camero but my DH is a Ford guy so I got a new mustang instead. I still have my SUV too. I couldn't live without it and the room.

Hello chasermartin, I'm no expert on dormant plants and all the technical plant rules, but I do have quiete a few Pachy's. I didn't think they would go dormant, but I guess they do. My pachy's are left in the sun all the time and putting out new growth at a rate of about 1-1 1/2" a month(they are still babies except for three of them.) The nursery were I bought them from had them in shade and the leaves looked pretty bad and minimal growth. As soon as I brouth them to my home, within a few days they rebounded with new leaves and growth( was a lot of new growth within the first week.) What I'm trying to get to you is that a lot of sun even HOT!!! sun has done my pachy's good. Only thing I worry about is when it rains then clears up and sun hits my pachy's. Now that's damage!!!! Thanks - these hostas keep me learning! I can see it does look like Lemon Lime - very nice hosta also.... I am liking its pretty ruffles better than Baby Bunting I think. So, Schiba, I guess one of the cool things about the rocks is I can turn it over and write a new name on the back! All my rocks are from Lake Ontario - my son brings them home everytime we go up to the lake. I needed something to do with them! I do need to get some sealant to put on them though - the sharpie wears off without it.

Jo, But is is a good form of bad. My husband will gladly buy me anything I say I need for the garden, although I know at times he is thinking the same thing..."do we really need to spend money on this?". I have noticed that he is a lot more willing to spend money on raising edible crops than on ornamentals. He also appreciates the garden a lot more after a trip to the produce section of Central Market or Whole Foods or to a good farmer's market. After he has seen the prices of high-quality organically-raised produce, I think he sees dollar signs when he looks at our garden....as in, he's thinking of the $$$$ he is not spending on organic fruit and veggies because we raise them ourselves. Elderly cats do get kidney disease plus heart congestion, our 17 year old cat did and we gave medication, special foods and he hated it and was so thin. Talk about hard, I phoned and got an appointment and told my mom I did and started sobbing and she told me to cancel it. I did puzzled why? She said if its too hard, we won't do it. I said no, its time and I phoned back and my dad and I sobbed all the way there to the vet and then we had to wait while this lady had 4 cats to get checked and then it was our turn and the room they took us in was the same as they check the cats and there was others behind us and so it was a rushed goodbye and I didn't like that at all. We all sobbed and cried, he was my precious, I can still see him coming down the hallway upstairs in my parents place and him yelling his head off and I would say he needs his four hugs a day as he demanded them daily. He was my beloved and I miss him still alot and its been 6 years since we said goodbye. Its a huge gap in our lives when we lose our beloved pets, doesn't matter how little or how long they are with us, that bond is so deep and so strong. I LOVE the Challenger!!!!! If you have to give up your truck; (I would love an SUV) get the Challenger.

That would be a hard decision for me. I would love to have a Tahoe and I understand where you are coming
from with all the kids and driving on their own. But, I love to sit higher then cars in an SUV. I have a 2003
Chevy Blazer and I love the Camaro, I would really have a hard time with this. Keep us all posted with what you decide.
I went to the link you posted and designed my own camaro. It was just gorgeous.
DH works at a GMC dealer and on May 6 they are having an unveiling for the new Camaro and I am going!!!!
So keep your eyes open for some pics around this day :-)

Actually I love love both the Challenger and the Camero so if if if I decide to do it will come down to driving them etc.....but I fear I would miss my Tahoe.......I want pics May 6th Deb inside outside upside down!! STacy

I'm an SUV girl, but the camaro is nice. I like it better than the old model.

Well, Stacy..... My current dream car is a Mustang convertable. I drive a Ford Expedition. Years ago, I told DH that he couldn't ever buy me a car that didn't sit me up high so I could see. Until I drove the mustang we rented! But the heavier vehicles are so much safer to drive, being heavier built, so you have a better chance in an accident. I am debating, also, but I also know it's gonna be a few years before I have to make the choice! And most of the time it's just me in it. I still use it to tow with, to, with no other car/truck to do so.

Something for you to think about. You live in an area where the deer are much more prevalant than I do. And I see alot of deer! Remember you last encounter? Think about that before deciding to go smaller. But if you do get the small car, enjoy it!

i have my dream car and now they don't make the chevy venture mini-van anymore...

don't care for dd's jeep (the bigger one) can't stand sil's bmw (can't get in out out of the darn thing, not to mention the ride) dh's ranger truck is an accident waiting to happen, lol...so i'm stuck...i do have knee problems and it's sooo much easier to get in and out of a m-van.

You all are so lucky to not have to worry about nice or new cars, or the purchase of same. I can't imagine that myself.

I'm hoping to keep my old '93 Buick running and get the air conditioner fixed cause it quit last week. This old gal does not handle the heat well at all.

Granlan...who has always dreamed of driving a pretty red car. :)

Aside from deer and crashes, Stacy, have you checked into the price of car insurance? Used to be, insurance on those kinds of cars was ridiculously high, I don't know if it still is. It might factor into your decision....

I still love and miss my '66 Mustang. That car was like a dream, it ran so quietly and was so dependable.
