long drawer pulls for 36' drawers

I am going to copy theanimala's Top Knobs Princetonian pulls for my kitchen. I love the horizontal placement that she used.

I got samples of most of the sizes I thought I would need, but one cabinet doesn't seem to fit. I have shaker style cabinets. The larger drawers are pieced. I'll be mounting the handles on the top piece (instead of the recessed center panel). Most of the drawers work out great so that the handle expands horizontally across the pieced section. I got really lucky with the Princetonians that they are enough sizes to make this work. I have one drawer bank that is 36" wide. The pieced part is at 30". The Princetonians have an option that is right about at the 30" but it has a center support. The longest option with no center support is 18".

Will the center support on the 30" look ok or is the 18" long enough even though it doesn't line up like the others?

You're just worried about the center support? It's fine! Just be sure it's the same thickness and not a hefty appliance pull.

fori--thanks. Yes, it's the center support that I was worried about. The reason I like the Princetonian style is that the lengths all maintain the same thickeness and width.

Please do not compare a bedroom dresser's hardware to kitchen cabinet hardware...there's no comparison...kitchen hardware is going to be much better. Kitchen drawers will have better quality glides, they will be more stable, they will be able to handle much more weight, etc. I use one hand to open my kitchen drawers all the time...even the ones w/two pulls...there have been no adverse affects on the drawer hardware. I have Blumotion...a very good line of quality hardware. The real issue is what is the quality of your drawer glides? Lower quality will most likely have problems, but high quality will not. Muspic...ask your cabinet maker what manufacturer/brand of drawer glides s/he uses...

I used the same sized single pulls on every drawer regardless of size. I have two 36" wide pots and pans drawers, and with the Blum hardware they are a breeze to open and close with one hand. The final reasoning I used to go with one pull was that usually if you're putting something away you would have something held in one hand and be pulling the drawer open with the other...if you had two pulls you would then be pulling the drawer open from one side, not perhaps the best solution ergonomically. I have also had custom made furniture built for the bedroom, and went with single pulls there too. Slides are really well-made nowadays, so easy to pull open. ( I like the look of the double pulls, just find I only use one anyways...)

Single 8” cup pulls on 36” drawers?

I don't know about cup handles, but I have regular 7" pulls on all of my drawers measuring 18" to 36" (the smaller bathroom drawers have 5"). The drawer faces on this pic are 23" and 36": Just the 36": This site: https://porchdaydreamer.com/right-length-cabinet-hardware-doors-drawers/ helped me visualize pull sizes and choose smaller (more cost effective) pulls (we needed 47 of the 7" pulls for the new build) . I also cut out a cardboard template to make sure it was a good fit for our hands.

As pictured on shaker drawers 8-10 is fine. I have almost 10 inch on 32 in shaker and mine aren’t too big. I wanted the 10 inch for the projection my selection offered.

I bought all mine online. the only one with a center support was 60" long.
