AND they gave me a jar of kosher dills! Yea!

Have a New York style deli opened recently. Went Tuesday with a friend, and today, went with a friend and her husband.

The owner came up to me and said she was glad to see me back. (Of course, I was bringing her business) and she presented me with their jar of pickles.

Wonder what I'll get when I go Sunday, for brunch, before heading to see Wicked.

PICKLES: They serve old and new kosher dill spears with their wiches. The old are absolutely delicious! New are good as well.

Are you a kosher dill person?

Love all pickles. I think I have four jars in the fridge now.

And I love those huge old fashioned dills dipped in ranch dressing.

Yep, kosher dills for me, too.....I like the baby ones and a slice of homemade bread.

Oh yes; I love kosher dills. I eat one nearly every afternoon when I'm craving something fattening and sweet. The strong kosher flavor seems to trick me into thinking I'm satisfied. LOL

I also love all sorts of "pickled" vegs...okra, beets, sprouts, green beans.

    Yum-O!

I really like pickles - grew up with them. I am of German/English heritage - always had pickles in the frig. & with dinner & for snacks. My DH is 100% Italian - he did not eat pickles growing up & doesn't see the need for pickles...what's with that???

There's a great deli near me. They sell three kinds of dills-new, sour and half-=sour. I like all three kinds. My husband says he likes sour dills but hates when they taste like garlic. Huh?

How thoughtful of her Glenda. She's a business owner that realizes that word of mouth advertising is the best kind.

Please pass the pickles, any kind will do. DH doesn't like them hates it when we order lunch and there is pickle juice on his sammy. He loves it when we order from the Honey Baked Ham Deli...they bag their pickles. LOL

I'm gonna have to ditto what Steph in Ga said, plus I'll say if I ever eat a pickle, it would be a sweet gherkin.

Glenda, you're so lucky to see the Broadway shows you do. :)

I love kosher dills. Lived in the Bronx for a while and had lots of good food.
