First, Dead? What do yo mean by dead? No power? Not producing? Eaten by bear? I am a little confused by what you are asking. If you run your pump for 8 hours a day, it will only run for 8 hours a day. You control the % of time it is on via the controls. 100% down to 20 for a stand alone. "bypass all the salt and chemical testing" It doesnt stop and check the salt, it is always doing it. Plus the plates reverse polarity every couple of hours to "self clean" them. They would need to be cleaned very often if you took that function away. I have had many IC-40 running for a long time and have not had anyone call me to say it died. I would expect min 3 to 5 years from this if not abused. Again have many out there longer then that. I tell all of my customers that the money they are saving by not using chlorine tabs ect will eventually go back into a new cell.

Pesh - you can create a macro in the ScreenLogic PC configuration setup. On page 2 of 5, you can create a new Feature Circuit and call it Lights. Then go into the Feature Circuit Configuration button and check off what existing circuits will come on when you activate Lights. After this, assign it to show up on the Water Features/Main page. Then it will show up on the Circuits page of the iPhone interface. Note: for a circuit to show up on the iPhone circuits page, it has to be assigned a location in ScreenLogic (Pool, Spa, or Water Features).

Just intalled a salt system with that unit. So far so good. The user's guide has a procedure for manual cleaning of IECG blades and I would recommend trying that to get rid of build up. Are you sure your stone is natural and not manufactured stone? I use to sell stone products on the side and though nobody ever told me, I KNEW not to use manufactured stone around a pool. It is a lightweight concrete and is essentially decorative in nature. Salt and chlorine is going to eat it up eventually. Natural stone is MUCH denser and should last longer, but no doubt different types of stone have diffferent chemical makeups, some which will react with NaCL (salt)

I just had that error - I tried everything including cleaning the cell as directed in the manual. We called Pentair and they guided us through a reset process but that didn't make a difference. In the end we had a warranty replacement - I didn't ask a lot of questions about why it failed as I was happy to get a new one so I can't offer any insight. Good luck UKMatt
