Need Help! Tile setters and their opinions!

Now at the tile stage of our OB pool build and have some conflicting info from tile subs. Hope some of you wiser-guys can provide some input. We are building a 20k gal sport pool with most of the bells and whisles; Rain sheers, laminars, pool lights all with fiber optics, in-floor system and travertine paver deck.

All has gone quickly, under budget and smooth until the tile subs got envolved;

One states that the shotcrete area for tile be floated with a bonding bed and wait a week to dry before thinsetting the 3/4" medium blue glass mosaic tile.

Another said he just sets the tile without this bonding bed.

Some suggest a plastic expansion joint between the coping and the tiles. Others say you only need an expansion joint with a concrete slab/coping.

Then I have conflicting info on grout;

One said a plain non-sanded grout.

Another suggested an epoxy type grout.

And, another mentioned a grout that doesn't fade/bleach out the med blue grout and is very resistant, but is 3x the price of standard grout and is worth it. He sez you can't use epoxy on glass.

At this point I am a bit confused. My opinion is to do it right and use the best materials to eliminate future issues. Whats a couple hundred bucks when you are spending thousands, right!

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!!!
