Thanks for the pics Lisa. I am new here but not too new to gardening. I have a few bromeliads which I have kept for over 10 years now but most of these are, I'm sure, the very basic stuff compared to what you guys have. I live in Malaysia and as Atmccmn said bromeliads are not too popular here. There is no Micheal's or any of those places in Stephania's pics above. Stephania, Thanks for all your posts about Chatuchak. After a while I caved and made a visit to Bangkok last month. The plant market is incredible. So much to see although I did not see Cryp Lisa and also Cryp Dennis Cathcart. Can you tell where the nurseries referred to above are? I would really like those on my second trip to Bangkok. I love Cryps. I have about half a dozen of them, will learn to post photos soon. Thanks to all for inspiring.

I have pictures of the plumie, lots of them. She's got blooms and managed to keep them for the trip home. ;) Last night was heavenly having her inside in the living room. Haha! I just love the scent. As for that POS Ford... You're so right, it coulda been a commercial! Gosh, I thought she was going to blow a gasket, literally, She being the MIL. When it broke down the second time, the third? Well... all she could do was laugh and smirk then say that at least we were close to home. *chuckles* Close to home for her maybe, but certainly not for my husband & I as we live 2 1/2hrs away from her. I'll go finish uploading photos and add descriptions, so you can enjoy a good laugh and some beautiful images. ;) ~Tina, enjoying being home very much so!

Thanks for looking everyone! Bananatree94, Thanks for the IDs. You were definitely right on all those bird ID's and possibly the orchid ID too (I'm not sure since I dont know much about orchids!). Apparently Disney does protect their orchids, so they might have been given extra protection, but they were at least 25 feet above the ground, so I dont see how protection would be a very easy thing to accomplish! Someone ID'ed the Jubaea x Butia as a Syaragus x Butia, so it probably is just a very Butia looking Mule palm. Either way, its nice to see some palm hybrids on the property! Lzrddr, I think you might be right about that White Elephant Palm being potted. It does look like there is enough bare room underneath it for it to fit a pot. I did here that White Elephant Palms are somewhat frost tolerant and since the palm in this pic was in deep shade, its possible that it has not seen much of a frost even after last winters low temperature of 28F. Usually Orlando winters are above freezing, but they have not been so lucky with the past 2! Im sure that the Red Sealing Wax palm has to be potted up because even with heat, I dont see how they could survive last years Brutal winter. They can barely handle temperatures in the 40s! Jim, the plants definitely were one of my favorite about Disney! I was happy to see someone else taking pictures of plants so I didn't feel too alone, but plant lovers were definitely the minority! And I could definitely see why you thought the monkey's escaped, lol, the wire definitely looks like a telephone wire! -Alex

Thanks for sharing your great photos. I finally found 'em today (looked in QF Gallery and Camping Forum days ago --but of course, no luck. HA HA) Beautiful scenery and looks like a lot of fun. I'm impressed that you had a band providing musical entertainment. We've vacationed in N. Florida a couple of times (a great place to go in January when you live in northern Minnesota) and have gotten to paddle on Suwanee River, using an outfitter from White Springs for our shuttle. Ginny
