new advertisment in posts

How unique is the new Links in a post advertisements. I am one of those people who use my cursor to keep my place when reading and the key word links do a nice little mouse over pop up. I like them so much better than the large pop up we have to click to close advertisement. I may actually read many more of the little adverts because they are not so forceful and cumbersome.

It's been so long since I had a pop up I had forgotten about them. I don't see any ads with Firefox.

I'm seeing green letter/words in post too. I haven't clicken on any though.

Posted from Photobucket It sounds like not all of your code is getting copied or something. I'd suggest you stopping by the link below and posting/trying it there. Possibly the Photobucket code is corrupt or something? Have you tried clearing your cache and/or history and rebooting? You might also try posting at The Computer Help Forum. I'm on a Mac. Firefox. I dropped the Add on that was causing almost everything to get blocked with a f in a circle. I know just enough to be dangerous too. ;D camp56, I (tried to) added Easylist. It clicked on link, window popped up with two checked boxes. I said ok. It disappeared. I'll restart Firefox and see what happens. Thanks.

I just flagged three from the same person on three different posts. I thought the first looked suspicious so I check the poster's profile and they had posted three word for word posts with links on three different threads. I love how when we flag here they are gone lickity split.

I don't know who is responsible for these ads, but they are gorgeous. Even when the weather stinks, and it does from time to time, it is a beautiful place to me and to many others. Not seeing them, but I know Pattico posted that she was seeing them the other day.

I use IE7 - I did opt out of seeing them when they first started showing up last month.

I am not being bothered too much with them, my complaint here is when reading or sometimes posting my computer freezes up and I have to go to the task manager and end up going to my home page and then can come back to here. I am not computer smart to know why this is happening. I had similar trouble with my old computer.

I just noticed them today. I find them a little irritating but can tolerate them.

Aren't these the same colored words leading to an ad that we had several weeks ago? Ivillage apologized, saying that it was a mistake. They were right--ads in posts ARE a mistake!

Are you seeing them in current posts, or in posts that are several weeks old?

As Marlin said, they were a mistake weeks ago, and GW apologized. Any of the old 'mistake' posts probably still have the highlighted words in them yet.

I just noticed the ads at the bottom of this page and other pages one is a Kitchen Cabiney
discount Dining Furniture anmd the other is AARP Auto insurance they don't interefere with the posts I liked it when we paid and didn't have to have any ads

Just tonight, I've been seeing ads/popups/Sponsored Links just beneath the 'Return to the Kitchen Table Forum' space. Not a problem, but I did notice.

Change your browser to Firefox and get AdBlock (and other goodies.) Its free and elimanates a lot of baddies.
