I meant to post this picture, too. It's from when the work was still being done, but you can see the same area from the other angle.

I think I might put it to the left of the sink, between the sink and toilet. If you put it on the wall on the right side, above the switches, I think you're going to have to hang it fairly high in order to avoid a towel hanging down and interfering with the switches. You should be able to hang it at a more agreeable level by putting it to the left of the sink, and I think it's fine if the towel overhangs your tile a bit.

I had the same problem so I centered mine above the outlet and switch. You can buy fingertip towels which are just a tad smaller than handtowels, that way the towel won't hang near the outlet. Also, with dripping hands going to the right of the sink above the counter will help keep drops of water off the floor to the left of the sink! lol

All the tile work is new...it's all staying! LOL

This is a "new construction" type condo that I've lived in for about four years. The floor was vinyl and the walls were dark beige. It was like a cave in there.

I don't really care about the switches being partially covered. I think the location is pretty intuitive.

If you don't already have a ring, I'd consider a 16" to 18" bar to match your faucets, hung the same height as the projected mirror hangers. That way you can display 2 or 3 finger/hand towels. When you have lots of company, you can place beautiful paper towels for use to the left on your sink.

How about a row of hooks mounted to the back of the door?

I have hooks in my bathroom and I find they are much more elegant, and neater, than rings.

My bathroom layout is the same as yours (for our family bathroom) and I hung the ring above the switches. It really is the most logical place. And many people will be offended by having a supposedly clean item hung next to a toilet (did you ever read the toilet thread? heh heh)

Honestly, ours works well. Drips stay on the counter and don't end up on the toilet edge (and when you have wet things on the toilet edge people's minds always wonder what that liquid is).

I am a right-y, so turning to the right is what feels right...uh...correct, to me. ;-)

If you hang it to the left, it could limit (or look cluttered with) whatever art you might want to hang on that wall.
