Thanks Chicagoans for taking your time in painting the island for me and everyone else for your opinions!! I really like the idea of an neutral olivy green. I forgot to mention that I'm changing the wall color. It is "too green" for me. I'm leaning towards SW Favorite tan or Universal Khaki. I always use BM but can't find the right color. Love BM Providence olive but it's a little too dark. Another one that I like is BM Sag Harbor Grey but I think the SW Universal Khaki is a little warmer. I might take the SW color to BM store for a color match. Once I decide on the wall color then I might go a color darker on the paint card for the island. What do you think? Have anyone used these colors? Do you know of any other neutral green color? Jamal123, my countertops are "Ivory Fantasy" granite. It is a creme granite with caramel, taupe/greyish and black dots and swirls. I'm happy with them!! Here is a close up (the picture don't do it justice, looks a little too light here, it's actually a little warmer with nice sparkling mica) Cali wendy, I thought about the red too but not sure if it will go with the rust color in the accent tiles. The paris bistro sign is not staying. I just needed it for the clock. I'm looking for another clock to hang there.

It doesn't look weird at all. I so appreciate the visuals and you two for taking time out of your day to paint my pictures! I was joking with Wes, instead of trying to lighten our dark, north room; we're embracing the darkness. (Well that doesn't sound so good, does it? LOL) The dark red walls, along with the taupe ceiling and trims and dark floors may cause a problem with the tree-shaded window. What if a ray of light tries to enter? He suggested that if that happens, we could just paint the panes of glass! LOL Seriously, I think I'm going to love the room and if not, "it's only paint." We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. If we can find it in the darkness! LOL

It is a gray blue glass tile. The right most fits the budget. It is Adex subway tile. The size I am considering is different. It is a 2X4 beveled subway. The color I am thinking is also different. I would like a big favor from photshop experts. I would like to visualize the gray blue fully in the window wall and the hood wall. DH wants us to tile the computer wall too. Also, is it possible to photoshop two more options. One is Adex celery 2X4 beveled subway tile too fully on all the walls. And the other option is to do the celery/bone with everywhere except beneath and above the hood. I would like to try the gray/blue glass tile just above and below the hood. Please help me make a decision and give your suggestions too. After the stone is up, she might have a dozen new color directions to chase. :D Exterior isn't like interior. Interior you do not have to have every last stitch in place to fit a room with color. As long as the basics, permanent elements are in place you can work color. Exterior isn't near as malleable because Mr. Sunshine is so darn intense and direct outside. Get the foundation covered in stone and then take another look. I'm thinking, with the stone in place, she should consider going light and neutral on the body or commit big and go with a dark, punchy color scheme with some drama. Safe midtones could add up to just a mediore color outcome for that house. A really cute house, btw.
