I bought about 10 body bags from both Lowes and Home Depot in February almost right off the truck. Every one is flourishing. I also saw the remnants of these body bags still lingering around and being sold in same stores in April. They were clearly dead on a sale rack for a few dollars when they should have been canned. I think the key is to really understand what you are looking at. I finally did see a "Big Lots" store out here, and indeed they did have some nice dead body bags. I think seeing rose bags on an end cap next to the laundry detergent aisle is a good clue to run the other way. The more experienced you are (or the better timing for fresh off the truck), the better odds you'll have. If you buy dead, you'll have dead.

It really floored me to find the same bookcase. I just noticed it in particular because I was thinking about buying it at Pier 1. It had been marked 50% off, then they have a sale with an additional 50% off of the clearance stuff. They didn't have much furniture left when I was there, & if I had a place for it I would have bought the bookcase. After finding out it was $50 higher at Big Lots, I almost went back & got it from Pier! By the way, here are a few pics from my Thanksgiving table-nothing like what I see here, but it was the 1st time I had tried using charges. My sons were impressed :) I know, they don't REALLY match, but the dishes were the closest colors I had to fall LOL

Thanks for the heads up. I am 3.5 hours from there so I sent an email to the ReStore on a few items. Might be worth the drive! I already picked up some great things at our ReStore in Jax.

They also have some (limited variety) of things in clear plastic bags, like little envelopes to stick on pages, the alphabet letters (I forgot to see if it was just one set of letters, and a few other decor items. I'd say the quality of the papers is like you'd find at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Not heavy cardstock but the decorative papers. I might even get a $1 scrapbook at Dollar Tree and make a scrapbook at these prices haha.
