30 or 32 inch single bowl stainless steel sink??
Comments (10)Try to do some imaginary dishwashing with a deeper front-to-back sink and see if the extra inch will bug you. (I think you'll find it just lovely to have extra room in the sink.) The deeper sinks bother my back because the faucet is too far back because I'm short BUT it's still worth it--I just have to get giant faucets. Once I figured that out my problems of oversized sinks were solved. Yes, I do go overboard on sink size, but I don't regret it. (And the Tapmaster foot controller makes it very comfy.) As far as whether or not you can fit a faucet, your counter (and backsplash) will affect what fits. Remember you add 1.5 to 2" of overhang on the front, so it's possible...good thing to keep in mind though and hopefully someone can guide you on that....See MoreAmerican Standard Single-Basin Drop-in Stainless Steel Sink
Comments (7)I bought this sink (no kitchen even started!) just to look at the features in person. The box states that it is 20 gauge 304 stainless steel. The black plastic gasket is on the rims of the accessories only. The sink itself has two levels around the rim so that the cutting board can sit on top of both the secondary sink and the colander bowls and still slide back and fourth between them. With both bowls in place, there is 6 inches of open space to enable use of the disposal. The second sink seems pretty unique because the 'stopper' is also a drain that allows you to empty it in place. . The sink is imported by Quality Craft (Canada) from China....See MoreBig Single Basin Stainless American Sinks
Comments (6)A lot of ELKAY sinks are made in the US. Here's the pdf of the models that are made in the US http://www.elkay.com/wcsstore/lkcontent/marketing/buy-american/buy-american-act-letter-sinks-01-01-14.pdf I have an Elkay that's 25" wide with a side drain and love it so far (fit into a 30" cabinet). Has the magnetic dock too which is handy....See Morerecommendations for undermount single basin SS sinks
Comments (1)Katrina: You may find this useful. Any sink 18 gauge or lower is fine. Beware of some sinks advertising 15 gauge; it may be only the flange. You can get some very nice accessories thrown in with certain sink deals. Like a strainer, colander, or bottom grate. As to brands, 304 stainless is 304 stainless, whether it comes from China or the USA. It's like being pregnant; you are or you aren't. Like a chandelier, no one has ever complained of having too big a sink....See MoreMissy Benton
