Thank you all for the helpful feedback! I thought I would share with you some pictures of the arrangement I have for my Droseras...Droserae...plants. This shows the Drosera I've been having the most trouble with, and the life support system I've built up around it. Clipped onto an old CD rack are two work lights, each sporting a (recently purchased) high intensity CFL that is equivalent to 100W. Combined they put out 3000 lumens, which acts to supplement the light coming through the large windows I have in my living room. The windows face NW. In the little plastic deathbox in front and to the left of the self-watering orchid pot is yet ANOTHER sundew. This one I swore I'd do right. It looked good in the store, and the polymer container was solid, so I'm using this as a temporary terrarium / tray watering unit. The lid to the deathbox is gradually being opened further and further to ease the humidity down to the ambient levels. I've had the new Drosera for about a week, and it's just as green and dew-laced as the day I bought it. Temperatures in my living room hover around 75F. The next picture shows the other Drosera, the one doing the palm tree impression. This is the dining room / atrium of my house. The window faces SE, and catches the morning sun. I relocated the Drosera so that it is closer to the window, but took some precautions by arranging my ivy so that its biggest leaves provide a filtering / shade source. We'll see how that works out. What are the symptoms of sun burn on Drosera? I want to be able to move quick if I spot this as a problem. My little Drosera palm tree has developed more pronounced hairs on its leaves, which I think is a good sign. To the right is a plastic jack-o-lantern that one of my neighbors tossed onto their garbage can. A gust of wind knocked it into the street, and I picked it up, fixed it, and added some improvements. On the windowsill to the left of the plants is the guts of what is soon to be a "sunjar." They're fun, cheap to make, and make good hand-made gifts. Anyway, comments and advice are always welcome! Where I live Meyers are common, my biggest rooted from a neighbor's bush when a lost lemon landed on our side and one of the seeds found a foothold. Your pot is really, really small. Meyers have good taproots and very wide surface roots. They don't tolerate competition very well in the garden; like roses they're heavy feeders. Because they fruit young, people get all excited about harvesting a crop. However, you might be better off putting it in a larger pot and letting the root ball expand larger; e.g., stronger growth now vs a few early fruits which are taking nutrients away from future growth. Remember that lemons are a winter crop, not a summer crop. Out here I have loads of hard green lemons in August, but it's only now I'm starting to pick a few each week from our three Meyers. Biggest crop is usually January-March. Inconsistent watering and feeding contribute to leaf/fruit drop; citrus appreciates a regular schedule. To me, besides the yellowing, your Meyer looks like it just doesn't get enough light. Meyers are bushes, actually, not trees, with heavily crossing branches, and they need a lot more leaves than you have before the plant can support fruiting and growth at the same time. My biggest Meyer actually grows in a very shaded spot, but it's bright shade and receives it steadily 10 hrs a day. Warmth isn't as important as sufficient light. In a California winter, our temps regularly go into the mid-40's at night. As long as the daytime temps hit the 60's, outdoor Meyers will ripen fruit. Because of their heavy feeding needs, larger pots are better, along with citrus fertilizer and liquid iron in regular amounts throughout the year. Non-citrus fertilizer mixes will not do except on an occasional basis. Citrus fertilizer is specifically formulated to work well. Good luck to you and HTH a little.

For anyone who may be interested in an update to my problem... I finally managed to get a Bhutan Telecom engineer to stand by my computer and actually see it disconnect from the internet. He hooked up his own very high-tech looking box to my cables and verified that the problem was theirs, not my modem/router. And from the very next night, I had continuous, 24 hour connection. I rang him to ask what the problem was, and he said that they dug up and replaced the old cable down the road (narrow diameter and many old repair joins). They replaced it with a new, larger diameter cable. So now, I only get a drop-out every couple of hours, and that for only a couple of minutes before it automatically reconnects. A pain when I'm on Skype, but pretty standard here. But he still cannot explain why it used to disconnect punctually at the identical time every night.

Ginger25 and jenhp: "Blizzard" is warmer than the pure white or organic white from Caesarstone. I think it works better with the rusty Danby marble than those purer whites. Here are some closeups of the Caesarstone, as requested (these are in artificial light): You have to get REALLY close up (3 inches in this case) to see the fine speckles. From farther back but as close as a foot, it reads solid white: Elba1, the uppers are 37 inches tall. The trim between the cabinets and ceiling is under 2 inches, just enough to tie the cabinets to a little bit of a crooked ceiling. There is also a 1 inch light rail underneath the uppers, to hide the under cabinet lights. The ceiling is 8 feet. I thought about incorporating some glass, but I wanted to avoid breaking up the space, for a more contemporary look. If my ceilings were higher, I would have considered a top glass section as well!
