How did you decide on your white paint color for cabinets?
Comments (8)We used the Restoration Hardware color "Buttermilk" (although I'm sure they didn't get the paint there). It's a nice creamy off-white. The cabinet guys wanted to do a more glossy finish but I wanted it low sheen. Something glossier probably would have been easier to clean, but I like the more matte finish....See MoreI just can't decide which bathroom color
Comments (3)You should get more help if you post in the Home Decorating area. I am not very familiar with SW colors. For the ceiling you could compare their ceiling white with your trim color and choose between those. If you like Steely Gray but worried that it might be too dark, you could get it mixed at 50% or 75%. I would get samples and paint sample boards to try out the colors in the room. Also consider what color towels. You have a lot of dark but also a good amount of white in the room....See MoreHelp deciding which“size” & which color scheme gallery wall to create!
Comments (11)I have a gallery wall because I have too much art to display any other way. It is much more eclectic than any of the above inspiration pics, as it includes photos, paintings, wood-block prints, and a wood-burned piece, in a variety of colors and sizes (from 4"x4" to 30"x36"). There are white, wood, black, and gold frames. I laid everything out digitally before hanging, and what I found was that the key was balance. My two white frames are at opposite ends of the display, wood frames are scattered throughout, etc. I tried to balance colors as well, so for example red is scattered throughout. You want to balance the visual weight of things, which can be affected by the composition, color, and the presence of a mat. It's definitely harder to make a gallery wall work when you have a mix of pieces. And I'm sure some people would think my wall is too chaotic, but it pleases me....See MoreTrying to decide flooring color for Florida home with white cabinets
Comments (4)Look at Coretec. We just did our entire Florida house in Hayes Oak. It looks like driftwood. I look at LVP as I do hardwood. It’s neutral. I chose a simple gray backsplash, but really you can do anything. I agree with Sammie. The backsplash should relate to the counter. My personal feeling is if you used a ceramic floor tile than it needs to coordinate with that. But, for me again a wood or LVP is a neutral....See Moreraee_gw zone 5b-6a Ohio
