Well, back in the Summer of 2009 my dh thought we were replacing our laminate counters with granite. And that would be it. Needless to say we did a little more than that. I'm always thinking about what's next....and this is what scares him the most. For 2011: I will have the floor in the laundry room "finished", just not sure what we are doing in there, idea was to just run the cork from the kitchen in there and be done with it. Since we have the cork, this will be a free project, so it might be the way to go. Finishing the basement, but not in a BIG way, just walls, ceiling and carpet. Bang For Your Buck will not be visiting, that's for sure. My DD2's bedroom. Poor thing. She's a junior in college and she has a neon colored room. Very cool room, I must admit--great horizontal striped I painted. But alas, she would like an elegant grown up room. Looks like my Gravender will get to be used after all. In fact, I need to buy some Kilz Primer, maybe this weekend I can get this project started. Would be nice to be done before she's home on Spring Break. I'm sure that I will be painting our MBR, the terracotta is just dated to me. Others would disagree and moan and tell me it to keep it, but I'm over it. The Master Bath needs some work too, perhaps gelstaining the oak cabinets in there to a dark espresso color. If this is all my dh knows I'm planning in there, I can always escalate the project as we go. It's how I roll. patty_cakes, I think you should save this thread, and pull it out 1/2 way through the year so we all can check back in on our progress. And then again next January.

I struggle with these kinds of decisions myself.. but here are my thoughts: 1. a loveseat isnt much more effective than a chair --yes, you can put two butts on one, but they arent a whole lot bigger than a generous club chair. 2. If you ever have a need for more seating.. the sofa is there. If not-- well, you have another place to stretch out. ;) 3. I had a bauhaus microsuede sofa and it just wore like teflon-- even with two large dogs. 4. And finally, I like it's earthy clay color with your fireplace and the absolutely lovely floors!! I think the ivory of the loveseat may be too sharp a contrast.

kjoy1 Thank you for taking your time and replying. The lamps and end tables we already had. My husband isn’t too fond of the lamps so I don’t mind getting rid of them for others. The pillows came with the sofas which are new and the area rug we recently purchased also. The blinds we want to get rid of. We wanted to incorporate blues into the space but weren’t sure how to tie everything together. So basically all we really want to keep are the sofas, wall art, area rug & small ottomans. The pillows we don’t mind replacing either.

Deep cushions will compress up to 1” within the first year of use. This is a characteristic and not a quality defect. Fabrics – 1 Year Bassett fabrics are warranted against manufacturing defects, seam slippage, fraying, and dye transfer for one year. Damage resulting from improper use, improper care, abuse or negligence or use of improper cleaning methods is not covered by the warranty. ANY RETAILER OR CONSUMER-APPLIED STAIN PROTECTION TREAT-MENT VOIDS THIS WARRANTY. Shrinking, pilling, fading and/or heavy soiling are considered evidence of mistreatment and void the limited warranty. Springs – 5 Years Spring systems are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and material for five years. Removal of springs from their original upholstered frame voids this warranty, unless done with prior consent from Bassett. Tip ? Good luck "collecting" on any of it. Unless your little ones are angels, and you are the sofa police. Why? Take the frame: " Defects in workmanship or materials. Try proving that. Got "jumpers"? Forget it. Fabric: yeah....................define "soil" that won't come out. Basically? You're not really getting a thing but sleeves from their vest in terms of stain or soil. Cover it up, don't eat on it. Rotate cushions twice a week and flip as well. There you go, your new job : )
