Who has used Yoga Toes...............

They are toe stretchers. They are suppose to benefit people with bad feet, they say they help align toes. I wonder if they work, I could sure use them.

Juse wondering if anyone here has used them and if they are worth the money.

They're the things that fit between the toes and spread them out, right? I've been looking at them too, think it would feel good.

I had to go look them up to know what you were talking about. Now I remember that I had thought of getting them at one point, but like you, didn't want to experiment at such a high cost....$49.95 for a pair. I'll be watching this thread along with you.

Hi leafy. I have bunions and a slight beginning of enlarged joints on my second toes with the accompanying "hammertoe" trying to begin. I have inherited most of this complex of problems from my Mom's side of the family. It is called Morton's syndrome, in my case. The pulling of the tendon's and ligaments in your foot are what cause the humping that you are concerned about. The only treatment for this is a very good custom orthotic to support your arch and prevent the foot from rolling slightly inward ( pronation) which pulls the tendons out of line . Also the orthotic will address the metatarsal area ( the soft area beneath your 2nd and 3rd toes) and you will get a pad behind that area to support the forefoot. Nothing that you put between your toes will stop the progression of the disorder. You can get individual soft gel cushions to wear when you have on shoes to prevent the toes pressing into each other, if that is a problem . I have them for my toes. The "yoga" toes do absolutely nothing to correct or delay the problem you speak of. You can do exercises to strengthen you feet, place a towel on the floor and put your foot on it and then wrinkle the towel toward you by bending the toes into the towel and pulling it toward you. You can also sit with your feet out in front of you and concentrate on stretching all of your toes out and away from each other ....like a cat does its paws. There isn't anything passive other than the orthotics which will correct/slow the progression of this problem. My Mom had surgery a total of 3 times on her feet. Always they returned to the dysfunctional position. One has to correct the arch and strengthen the tendons with exercise and orthotics. No surgery or passive between the toes pads will correct it. Hope this helps you. I worry about my feet all the time and have just gotten the final pair of new orthotics that I was fitted for in May ! They are really working but it has been an arduous process. I am fortunate to have excellent BCBS and they have covered it , after deductible. I am going to get a 2nd pair made so that these will last longer. lisa i did not know that! believe it or not we used to live down that back road that runs along the westside of the Y (just north of the dam where people fish) and around the back corner in a townhouse subdivision, from 1999-2001. until a couple of yrs ago we would drive back to jay blanchard on sat & sun to walk our dogs there. we go occassionally now. my dh was bite by an alligator there lol. we did our class at SCC sanford and that is where the tai chi course is starting late March. i am right by red sun(formerly red door) yoga in winter springs and if i knew i'd go alot i'd join there for $100 a month unlimited. they are famous for their classes in several types of yoga & meditation. i wore sweats, tee shirts and sweat jackets to yoga. i can not be cool at all, i like to be warm and we were in a large workout room that was cool. definitely bring your own matt or atleast a towel to throw on a used matt for the first class. definitely go, i was surprised at how relaxing it was lol ~ liz Here is a link that might be useful: red sun yoga

I went back to mixing Fresh Step, the old litter, with Tidy cat. ItÂs only been 3 days. I will have to check with my husband to see if he has picked up any "deposits" lately. I have not found any. She does not seem to be constipated. I bought some new hairball medicine, which is an oil I have been mixing with her wet food. Unlike all the others I have tried so far, she likes this one. I have been wondering if the oil will make her stool softer too. I started using that maybe 2 weeks ago. The hairballs have now stopped. The floor pooping predates the hairballs (which show up every year in the spring); but IÂm wondering if having hairballs could have caused the uptick in incidence I noticed. The newspaper mostly makes it easier to clean the box. When I dump it, it all slides easily into the garbage. But I have noticed (maybe this is me speculating) that she does not like the feeling of the plastic under the litter on her toes. When I have run out of paper she has objected (donÂt ask me how I know, she just comes to me with this lookÂ). I usually put a heavy sprinkle of baking soda under the paper. I find the paper, which goes up the sides too, wicks the moisture away from just the one spot and makes it dry faster. She does not cover what she does in the box and never has. Just does it and leaves. If IÂm nearby and smell it, I do it!

The pillow is beautiful. Annie's suggestion about an eye pillow is also great. Lots of people like to use one during final relaxation. It sounds like you have a real friend who can be honest with you about not liking jewelry. When I first started dating my now husband, he gave me a necklace. I don't like to wear jewelry and anything around my neck, no matter how light, makes me feel like I'm strangling. Since we were not yet exclusive, i told him nicely to give the necklace to someone else. The next time I saw him, he had gotten the necklace made into a bracelet. I wore it in front of him until it (thankfully) broke. He had always dated women who liked jewelry and he wanted to give me gifts. As my birthday approached, he talked about taking me bracelet shopping and I knew he was thinking about something expensive. You should have seen his face when I told him that what I really wanted was a crown! And that's how I got some expensive, needed dentistry for my birthday.

You cannot walk when YT are on your feet. You have to be sitting or in bed.

I like YT alot and my toes/feet feel great afterwards. Glad I got them.

I was in a yoga class once and the teacher had us do that toe spread thing with our fingers inserted between all the toes.

I get manicures and pedicures pretty regularly. When I get my feet done, the nail person wraps a long piece of cotton between my toes. Feels good!

Do you think they would work with short stubby toes? I wonder how much the shipping is, probably another $10. Have you looked on ebay?

I have the Pampered Toes version, and really like them, they did feel a bit odd the 1st time I used them. I got mine at the local Grocery store, but have seen them at many Target, and WalMart type stores.

They are made by the ped egg, you may find them at any drug store for about $10 no shipping! I may just try some.

I got the Pampered Toes at BedBath&Beyond for $10. I didn't like them at all! APparently my toes are small and I had to really shove them into this thing. I pictured it feeling good to stretch them out. Nooo. It was just uncomfortable. I tried it a few time, but gave up. A massage at my pedicures feel MUCH better!

I have some. I got mine off of Amazon.com I like them. You only wear them for about 20 minutes at a time to start. They make my feet feel better after using them.

Mine are made by "Healthy Toes" and they're listed as size "S" (small). I wear size 10 ladies shoes. They are blue in color. I also ordered the visco-gel toe spacers and wouldn't recommend those.
