Not exactly a Caribbean sunset, but I thought they were pretty. There's more to the old town than "The Office." :-)

Tequila Sunrise and Pretty-N-Pink are maybe in the process of being registered. Still Ten English pounds is a lot of moular to some (and me). Tequila Sunrise is lovely. Pretty-N-Pink has a minor fault only visible to Tolumnia purists. Had a look at Orchidom previously and was impressed. Closer to home and you do not have to worry so much about the guardians of the gates. You might have to be careful with Ã¢ÂÂclonesÃ¢ÂÂ, are they talking about Mericlones which are usually more expensive than seedlings. The other big advantage is growing conditions. The Caribbean is probably Tolumnia Heaven. Three clones of Tolu. Alyshia showing the variation you sometimes get from the one compot of seedlings which in this case means produced from seed. The crossing is Shannon Elizabeth x Sizzler. Sizzler was registered by Robert Perreira. Tracking the ancestors of a cross will usually find an ancestor registered by Perreira or Moir. Whew Flora. I think I got back just in time! Clawskeeter- I couldn't get my email to go out. What did I do wrong? Something must have gone through somewhere along the line since I have your real name here on my list....... could you send me an email directly? I'll just respond then. Usually I don't have so many technical difficulties.... really!..... I'm not just saying that. It's a little embarrasing how I'm looking forward to the swap. Just getting over and looking at Gerry's yard again will be a treat! FYI- Going to Perennial Point afterwards would probably not be a good idea. Bad thought. No. But I could give directions.... and if someone wants help loading a car or something I would swing by to help out. Not a problem at all. Just give me the word....

Joan, your pictures are beautiful, as usual! I just read that sunspot activity is about as low as it has ever been so there's not much chance for northern lights right now. In more active years we used to see them often in August and September over Minnesota lakes. I'm in Florida now and miss them so much! Kate

Do you live in Scranton? I was born there (I live in Washington state now), and I still have family all over the area. I'm sure you must know some of them. :-)

Lovely! Is "The Office" a really big thing in Scranton? I would think it would be. It's my favorite show BTW.

No, I don't live in Scranton. I'm out in the country, about 25 miles away.

Yes, The Office is a very big thing in Scranton. Some of the actors, etc., came to the city for an "Office party" last year, and they had a huge turnout. I still haven't seen the show, but many of my friends love it and I'm sure it's only a matter of time until I check it out.

Susan- Was that the ridge with the wind turbines? I can barely make out the upright posts but I can't see any blades at the top.

We've only driven through that area during the day so we've missed those glorious sunsets. Your photos are wonderful.

Nope, the wind turbines are in another direction. I drive past those every so often, and really should take a picture. I remember my son took one from atop his 120' tower. The windmills were at least ten miles away, but they look like they were in our backyard. If I can find it, I'll post it.

I just looked it up in the library catalog, and Season Two of "The Office" is available to borrow. I'd rather start with Season One, so I'll check around. I love good comedy.

I left the area long before I could appreciate the beauty of a good sunset but let me say that I absolutely love the fall foliage between here and Scranton. I always make it a point to drive up to see my parents when it's at it's peak. I'm not sure what New England must look like if I get so excited about fall in PA.

I love The Office. It took me a while to warm up to it but I love the way they try to fit the 'real' Scranton into the show instead of just using the name. It's not 100% accurate but I appreciate that they try.
