My Day So Far and How is Your's?

Today Amber and I went to a few garage sales. I found some nice things I can use. Some sewing notions, a few Rubbermaid things, a brand new two piece Martha Stewart bath mat set, and a book. I was happy to get them. The weather is perfect. Izzi and I are going outside for a little while. Today is our oldest daughter's birthday. I called her first thing and wished her Happy Birthday. We will have a birthday dinner later on for everyone's birthday that is this spring. It is 68 with a bit of a breeze and sunshine. Can't ask for more. How is your weather and how is your day going?

Weather is beautiful...heading into the 80's with a possibility of 90 tomorrow.
Today, have to bake as sheet cake for a family cookout at SIL's house tomorrow. Think i'll make chocolate with cream cheese icing.
Otherwise, it's laundry day...just finished sorting, and the first load is in the washer.

Off today from work. Trying to catch up here at Kt and also some cleaning. Also want to run some errands but I'm
just sitting here at computer. I need to get moving!! lol!!

Going pretty good so far. I swept about 3 inches of snow off my sidewalk and cleaned off my car this morning. Wind has blown about 1/3 of it back on the walk. Have a combo of red beans and pinto cooking in the crockpot. Worked some on a laprobe I'm knitting. Did several small cleanup jobs. I'm just a recent convert to Bob Evans. Everything I'd eaten there in the past was yucks to me, but I tried the chicken pot pie last week....very good so I'll go back. My sister had banana bread with hers. I ate a small bit and loved it too. Sue, is the cherry bread as good as the banana? I may have to break down and buy a full loaf of one or the other. Maybe I can get sis to buy one kind, I'll buy the other and we'll share. Enjoy the rest of your day. Shirley

What kind of grapes, and what does he do with them? The seedless Concords I put in weeks ago are finally looking like they may do a little something. How's my day? Great so far. Was up early, went treasure hunting, came home made bread, did some cleaning. Chatted on the phone with my SIL (to thank her for the silly b'day card she sent me). Then, just before lunchtime DH called to let me know they were getting out early (half a day) from work. So he arrived early afternoon. He's out cutting the grass while I play here.

Too soon to say for me. As usual I was way behind on moving everything in and just dumped everything in the sun room, still have a few outside. I'm pretty sure I will have some cold damage but it will take a little while to show up. Getting everything watered now is the issue, they are all getting a dry winter rest like it or not.

We are under a severe thunderstorm warning. I have the dishwasher running and am getting ready to go deliver Meals on Wheels. Then later today I will volunteer at the hospital. I just love volunteering there and pick up shifts whenever they need a sub. I keep forgetting it is my birthday!

Gorgeous here--warm, sunny.

Got up early, did some stuff around the house. DH called to tell me that for the first time in over a month, he wouldn't have to work Sat. YEAH! Then I went to the bank (tax refund is finally returned--another YEAH!) visited aunt in nursing home. Rearranged the car so we can pack up to head to the country tonight. Just have to wait a couple of hours for DH to get done working this afternoon, and we can take off.

Got up this morning and went to a local flooring store to pick up some carpet samples for Lauren for school. When I took them to her at school she said she was feeling bad, sore throat and all over not feeling well. I took her home, had to cancel my workout with a personal trainer. My first workout with her too. Rescheduled it for later next week.

So, then stopped by Wendys on the way home and got a taco salad. When I'm done eating I have to run to Wal-Mart and Kroger to pick up some groceries and a new blade for my power saw/trimmer.

It's warm and breezy so I'm going to spend the entire afternoon working in the yard. The neighbor finished mowing my front yard this morning. I started it but was so tired last night after pulling weeds and trying to cut down a vine/ground cover that I didn't do more than mow down some weeds around the edges of the lawn where the bushes are. One of these days I'm just going to have someone come and landscape the front and back.

So, after I fix my hand-trimming of bushes out front I'm going to work on pulling and digging up weeds out back. It's a mess back there already from all the rain we've gotten.

didn't get t bed until 4am..just couldn' sleep..so caught up this am....just got out of the shower and wanted to check in here..it's sooo pretty out but really don't have any outside errands til dh gets home and we do the weekly banking...it's date night, maybe we'll try a new place not too far from here..

outdoor soccer has started so have 2 games tomorrow...depending on the weather...rain is in the forecast...last year this time,i was confined to sitting in the car, recoverying from my lumpectomy...doesn't seem possilbe it's been a year..

It's still pretty early here on the left coast but I have a full day ahead of me.

I'm currently at the office but at 11:30am my design team is heading to Newport Beach for a few hours of R&R then I head home to change for dinner at a nice Italian restaurant followed by a theater night to see Dreamgirls. The night on the town was a result of a drawing I recently won. Can't wait!

Gorgeous here too but windy. I weeded flower beds until 2:30pm, then called it quits. Gonna take it slow this season IF I can. I'd like to sit and enjoy the fruits of my labors for more than a few days this summer.

Cold, rainy and expecting more may snow flurries tomarrow. No gardening yet, but the farmers need to get into the fields.

Still windy here also.
Had to call the dr for dh.He had that spinal cord inplant done on monday and yesterday he started getting a rash,and today it was all over his back,red and itchy,so i took him back in.The dr thinks it may be from the solution she used to wash his back with b4 the surgery.Me i thought it might be from the tape,i know i'm allergic to all those tapes they use,and thought he might be also.Who knows.She just gave him a script for benadryl,and he goes back on monday.

Then we had to stop at my oncologist office on the way home so i could pick up a prescription also,then to cvs,then el polo loco,then home.Made it a loooooooooooonnnnnnnnnggggggggg day.
