Gorgeous sink!

What about those wall mount 3 piece faucets that are crosses in white with the C and H on them

I hate to be so negative, but here's my experience --

We had a bathroom console sink with the same angled faucet deck. A leaking faucet led us to search for a replacement part. (I'm not the one who took the faucet apart, so I couldn't tell you what precisely part it was.) No luck, despite trying the vintage plumbing places. No luck in finding a faucet, vintage or otherwise, to fit the sink. We eventually bought a new sink.

It's a lovely sink, and I wish you luck. Just don't buy it until you're sure of a faucet source.

That would be pretty frigging classic, Remodelfla, you're right. Although, on second thought, did people ever use those in kitchens? Or are they mainly a bathroom style?

The other thing I'm wondering about this sink is wouldn't a wallmount faucet want to send the water in slightly the wrong direction--I mean, if it were on the wall it'd be facing straight down, but on this sink it'd be at a 45-degree angle so it would push the water out at that angle? Or would gravity take care of that? Perhaps I'm overthinking this. Or perhaps it would be fine for the water to come out at an angle as long as the faucet wasn't too long. Or maybe you can adjust faucets so the water is at the right angle, I have no idea.

Our search, by the way, was about ten years ago, before the proliferation of online outlets. You may have much better luck now.

I do like that sink! Is it new or genuine old? Go over to retrrenovation and see what's in the link in the tab for kitchens. There's plenty of places to find stuff; finding a faucet will be the challenge. I suspect there was one made just for that installation. I know the "dismaster" is still being made, maybe this one is, too.

The biggest issue here is not the faucet heads but the piping and valving. Depending on where you are, you might be able to locate a plumbing supply house that will custom manufacture reproduction parts specifically to meet your needs. (You should enlist the aid of a knowledgeable plumber, of course). I had that done for a vintage shower assembly and sink in my house. Cost a pretty penny and I eventually ended up scrapping the whole project for a variety of reasons anyway. But it can be done.

Oi oi oi! Mnerg, your warning made me do a little research, and now I wonder if this lovely sink is one of the dreaded Crane Sunnyday/Kitchen Queen/etc. sinks that NO existing faucets fit and for which apparently your only recourse is to get an original faucet and have it restored (see link below).

Marthavila, I wonder if your solution might work too. I have a self-described "Luddite" plumber for a cousin--he heats his apartment with a woodstove--so perhaps he would know his way around antique fixtures and how to jerry-rig new pieces. I'll give him a call. Thanks.

That DEA link had me vigorously nodding my head and when I got to the "beware" section, I identified completely. When I first started with "revival" attempts on my 1909 house, I was determined to restore and not renovate. I got completely turned around, however, when I began to deal with what true restoration means financially. As such, I am no longer a restoration purist. But I still dream! That sink is totally gorgeous, Ideagirl. If you are willing to put out for the costs of replacement/reproduction plumbing, IMHO there is no contemporary set-up that can beat it.

Try Signature Hardware. They were very helpful when my best friend was in need of some specialty plumbing for her antique bathtub and sink. Another friend just purchased their Felicity wall mount faucet and it is stunning in her antique soapstone sink with marble backsplash.

Okay.. but what if? It looks as though the hole on the top is where the faucet sits, right? So what if you mounted cross handles on the angled part and then placed the faucet on the flat part and connected them via flexible hose.

You would have to get a faucet that had flexible handle connections (like a roman tub faucet possibly? Maybe some kitchen faucets have this as well) where the handles connect to the center spout via flexible plastic piping.

Just a thought, because it is a darn cool sink.

That's exactly what I was think of weedmeister with the flexible faucet connections there is no reason that it couldn't work.

I have the crane sunny day sink and can't find parts! What did you do?

I know I am really late to this discussion, but have just finished scrubbing all the gunk off of a Sunnyday sink and now am worried I won't be able to use it because of the slanted spot for the faucet mount. Mine is 4 holes (one is angled spray nozzle). The faucet is still on it, but was hoping to replace it with something nicer. Will not pay the prices they have on that DEA plumbing site.
