iron drain pipe

Hi - we're in the middle of remodeling our house. The plumber just told us that we need a number of copper pipes replaced. They are old and have pin hole leaks, so that's fine. However, he also told us that our cast iron drain pipes, which are about 70 years old, are a "time bomb" and we should replace them now. Since most of the drains are in the one bathroom that we are not redoing, I'm very hesitant to do this extra work. It would mean ripping up the shower and sink, adding significantly to the cost of the job. What is the life of a cast iron drain pipe? Does exchanging them now sound reasonable?

Any advice would be much appreciated.
