2 weeks from tomorrow...Teresa_VA....

There will be another KT baby, or possibly two!!

Teresa_VA, if I'm correct, is having her baby on the 24th of this month! YAY! And 40 miles up the road from Teresa, I may be having mine, too, if the doc decides to induce me.

Teresa and I used to live 1/2 mile from each other for a few years and didn't even know it (we know each other from the KT). I moved to the next county over just after we discovered how close to each other we were.

Good luck, Teresa! We want pictures of the new baby and her big sister (and mom, too!)

Karen, the chinese forget me nots keep blooming for me from late spring right up until the can't take any more nights with some frost in the late fall. The regular perennial forget me nots bloom just once, maybe twice sometimes and then they are gone. I keep my chinese forget me nots in part sun in 3 different beds, but the clump I tried in the back yard, in full sun, bit the dust in early July. Northener, I grow the 4 o'clocks in pots so that I can move them around in my beds to add color when needed and to help deter japanese beetles from destroying my roses and malva. 4 oclock leaves are deadly poison to the japanese beetle. they eat them and die. I end up with quite a few dead ones on the top of the mulch in the pots. They are hardy plants when the JP attack them chew up the leaves. They just shoot out more and more leaves and keep on growing and blooming. In the mean time, the roses and malva are left alone, instead of totally destroyed. Send me an email and I'll tell you how I save the tubers from year to year. I don't do anything complicated and it's really easy to do. So far they have survived for the past 2 years with the method I use. But just to be safe, I do sow 4 o'clock seeds every year just incase I lose the tubers. Fran

Flaurabunda, it's so funny you mentioned cameras. I was reloading some ancient photos into Facebook last night and it's quite startling to see how much my photo-taking has changed. Back in 2009 (the year of Gemini), I did not know how to handle my camera with the right sun exposures but even so Gemini was always beautiful; to this day save for Folklore and with Penny Lane (growing in sunlight) I've never seen a more perfectly formed rose. Kansas heat ruins rose shapes save for those 2 roses. Gemini always looked good no matter what the lighting; constantly spiraling, and your photo just reminded me so much of what she once was before she died. I loved that rose so much and she was a sport-fragranced one too. Double the Agony of losing her.... I'm afraid to get any other Gemini save from J&P because so few Gemini's have the deep coral, and I still hope to find one just like it.... I also check my local nursery but no dark coral Gemini yet...I bet you are probably being "too modest" or not breaking the hard truth for fear it'd make me "insane with grief" lol. Anyway, your photo of her was very "Haunting" and beautiful-- I felt like it was seeing her all over again.... I also forgot to say, I love your "Wall of Fire". Just brilliant! :D

They really took most of the heart and soul out of this house, with the gut-job renovation. One sees this in UK historic homes a lot these days, too. Inside, in most rooms, it could just as easily be a McMansion in the far out suburbs of Chicago. Breaks my heart when I see this happen....

I need a baby fix also. I am missing a baby around the house since Makayla and Kaden
are getting so big too fast. Wishing both of you an easy delivery and I will be pacing with everyone else for some pics.

I just saw this-WOW How strange!! You are right about my date-Are you really going to be induced on the 24th? How funny! If you still lived in Lorton, we could have been roommates at the hospital! lol

How are you feeling? Are you still working? I feel for you, even though I worked up until the last day with Olivia, now I'm not sure how I did it? I'm doing okay, but having lovely sciatic pain!!! Right throught the butt cheek and down my leg-OUCH! Plus super tired!

And if one more person tells me how big I am!! Why would you EVER say that to anyone???

Hi Teresa, there you are! :) Doc is talking about induction at 38 weeks (which for me is April 23rd) which means I might have the baby on April 24th! Which I might mention is also my mom and uncle's birthday's. My blood pressure has been fluctuating greatly going from very high to normal limits over the span of the day. Bed rest doesn't work, we tried that over the weekend and it still went wonky. We have no clue why, but I have been to the hospital 4 times for a non-stress test and baby is fine, as well as the ultrasounds--good fluid levels--and no protein in my urine, so preeclampsia isn't here...yet.

And oh, yes, I'm still working! People keep asking when my last day is and I tell them "when the baby comes out." I can't take the extra leave, so I just sit all day and teach from my desk chair in the front of the room.

My due date (40 weeks) is May 7th, and I was hoping to make it to May 1st, as I want our boy to have a different birthday from the rest of the family, so I'll shoot for May 1, if they'll let me!

And if one more person tells me "You're about to pop," I'm going to pop them!

Going in for another Ultrasound tomorrow to check the fluid and BP again. More bloodwork and urine collection...the joys of pregnancy!
