The yard is to wet from the weekend rains, or I would work on my drainage ditch I started last week.

Soooo, I will finally finish painting in my bedroom. Got the wallpaper border off. What an ugly job. Got the wall prepped, and the edges painted yesterday. Today, I'll do the fill in, including the ceiling.

I'm restoring the flower garden out back. It's infested with grass.

I would like to be moving today! We're actually moving next Friday, but I'm terribly anxious to get into the new place. :)

Will you be able to squeeze in 1/2 hour or so of sewing or reading, at least?

We have tons of things that need done in the yard and I'd love to have the energy to tackle it....But, I'll probably stay inside and "tackle" some unfinished quilting blocks.....

I'd like to have some help clearing out my garage..too many heavy things to lift.

I would like to be on the river fishing with my honey...

Skydiving again. It's a nice day for it.

Nice long bike ride! But I'm at work until 6:00 p.m.

Fishing, skydiving and long bike ride in your yard? :)

Hugging and visiting with my daughter.

oops...bad habit of reading too fast!
Sorry Sue. Anything at home??? Probably working in my garden - weeds are starting their yearly assault!

And take a nap.

I'd like to have no one call me and no one come over, and have enough food on hand for the animals that I wouldn't have to go out and pick up any. I have plenty to do, if I had no interruptions.

I'd like to be outside working in the yard but I'm studying for recurrent training tomorrow...I had to take a break before my brain becomes a slushbucket...

I'm doing exactly what I want to do today! Reading and working in the garden. Ahhh, retirement is good and so is warm sunshine! Bettye/AZ

I'd like to take the kids and go to the diamond mine and hunt for diamonds. It's a school day so we can't go.

I'm happy to say that all of my plantings (200+ annuals), lawn reseeding and weeding is all done. I had been working on it the last 2 months in preparation for my son and future DIL's engagement party that was on the 11th. Sadly it rained heavily that day, so none of my guests could wander about the yard, but I get to sit back now and enjoy all of my hard work.

On Sunday I bought myself an ebelskiver pan (small round Danish filled pancakes) at Williams Sonoma, so today I played with it. I stuffed them with fresh fruits, jams and also a few with chocolate. They are delicious and addictive. Tomorrow I'll try making savory with cheeses and herbs.

I'd like to be sewing on my crazy quilt but just can't get into it. Maybe tomorrow.

I would paint all the trim on the house~~~~~~~~~~but that ain't gonna happen,as i can no longer climb ladders for a few reasons and neither can dh,so guess we'll have to hire it out.Not this week though,we're supposed to get rain for the next several days.

When the weather is better i do plan to paint my outer doors~~~~~~~~~~RED,think barn red, bluey red. Can't tell dh though, don't think he likes the idea of that color, has no imagination for things like that.Several years ago when i mentioned doing it,he went out and bought blue paint and painted them blue. This time i'm not telling him!!! LOL,LOL

If I could be doing anything I wanted---and if money didn't factor in---I'd be standing outside watching a crew build a nice deck and screened in porch on the back of the house.

It's safe to say that isn't going to happen any time soon...possibly in my lifetime. :-)

I would be doing exactly what I'm doing...I got up at 6:30, started the laundry, putzed around in my quilt room, finished the laundry, ran to Home Depot and bought new hanging plants for spring, warmed up my day old whole wheat rigatoni with homemade sauce, poured myself a glass of wine, watched a bit of soap opera while eating, listened to the rain outside (they were right again-it's raining!) and I think I'll take a short nap before getting up to get my latest quilt quilted on my new (used) Juki sewing machine. Yes, to me this is a perfect day. lol

(((((Jamie)))))

I'm doing it- I got to stay home and goof off- I got a swap item ready to mail (a beachy placemat) tidied up the destroyed sewing room, and worked on my hexagon quilt. Woody fished a lot, so that was nice for both of us. ;)

If I didn't have to work today, I'd like to go to a big nursery, buy a lot of flowers, and plant them in my garden.

If I had the money, I'd go to a good nursery, buy lots of plants, and plant them in my back yard. Unfortunately, I don't have any spare cash right now, so that's out. But we did order potatoes and heirloom tomatoes, they'll be coming in a couple of weeks, so I'll be busy all of May.

I had to work today... but if I had my way, I would have stayed home and played in the greenhouse and the garden. I would have spent a lot of time with my dogs.

I did do what I wanted to today which was work in the yard and finish a book I was reading. When you're retired you pretty much get to do whatever you want to do!! Isn't life grand?

I wonder how you can retire if you are a homemaker? I always have lots to get done.

Sue

I would love to get all my spraying done in one day...The house next door to us has been empty almost 3 years now and we have thisles everywhere... grrr... Love working outside but it takes me so long these days..
