My mother's father, Willie Brockmeyer. He owned a German deli in NJ. I was so happy to find this in my dad's negatives last night. I've always heard my grandpa was such a nice man, and I love his smile in this picture.

Anybody know what kind of fish it is? I'm guessing trout, but do trout come that large?

Casey, I love the picture and if I lived closer I'd snap him up in a minute...We just lost our orange tabby and although another would never take his place, I'd love to have another... They honestly do make the best pets....And strays are life long friends.....

Plus it looks like he's had an eye infection, and could probably use some antibiotic ointment (cheap!). And cats can always use TLC!

One of my favorite pictures, on our way to Universal Studios, started to take a picture of them all walking ahead of me, when Johanna turned around, jumped in the air and whooped-lol. Too bad I missed the jump.

That kitty's face speaks volumes. Poor thing. I also have a "stranger" in my barn, been there for the past three weeks. It's half grown, pure white with blue eyes and skinny as a rail. I hesitated putting out food, as I can only imagine a litter of kittens in its future but I've been leaving a bowl of dry food out. Coons are helping themselves to it too. ugh.

The cat is very timid and runs and hides from me. But one day while it was running across the barn rafters, I was able to identify it as a she, pretty sure that is. Only, I am also convinced that she is deaf. It doesn't even hear me if I walk up behind it and stand there, only when it senses my presence does it take off like a rocket.

If the weather ever takes a turn for the better, I'd like to put out a live trap. I'd even keep her as long as I could take her in to get her spayed. My indoor/outdoor cat "Kitty" seems to be ok with her hanging around (he's neutered).

Schoolhouse, as you probably know, blue-eyed white cats are often deaf. Since she's young, you might be able to get her to come near you if you have time to sit by the food for a period of time each day, when she's hungry. If you put out a live trap, I'm afraid you're likely to find a raccoon in it instead of the cat.
