What color to paint wood front door on red brick house?
Comments (6)Using DHs work historic work building for inspiration, I've decided to go with.... - Red Brick house (this color stays! LOL) - All trim Medium-dark slight bluish gray. (not institutional looking). Including window molding, door trim, eaves, etc.. - Sandy-beige, deep warm cream color for door. Now, I've just got to FIND the above mentioned door color. If anyone here knows what I "mean" by the above description, and a good name and brand of paint color, please let me know! Thank you very much! And thanks for the suggestions....See MoreWood stain color for mahogany front door

Comments (20)It is hard. It’s a big investment. The main design of your home is a mix of styles so personal choice. The wood garage doors and trims are a bit trendy and not cheap so prefer paint rather than the wood. But if using wood, cedar is best with good stain protection. It does require more maintenance. And using it on Gar doors and posts are help integrate them. A little split rail decorative fence on left side of yard would help balance the look. Nice mock ups!!...See MoreFront door and wood fence color for 90s home
Comments (7)The window grilles are appropriate to the house style. Remove them, but only if you can put them back if you prefer the look. I think the extra detailing is good here. (If they look cheesy up close, however, that would be more important than how they look in this view.) A white fence would be perfect (especially with the grilles 😁) because of all the nice white trim details around the porch, but painted white fences require so much upkeep that a natural stain is too practical to not do. I'd choose something wood colored and let it melt into the background. The front door should be a pleasant color, and an interesting one. Not brown. Perhaps look into navy blues and pine greens. (I would not replace it as it is, again, correct for the house. It also matches the garage door.) You might be able to add windows to the existing garage door. Some have panels that can be popped out. I don't know if that would improve it any. Painting it to match the house would probably improve it, but matching paint to siding can be challenging--it's perfectly fine as is, really....See Moreoceanna
