Propane vs Oil water heater

I live in New England. Currently my home and water with OIL! The previous owner of the home installed a propane cook stove, I am seriously considering the conversion of my hot water (shower, cooking) from oil to propane. I have seen and heard wonderful raves about the indirect tankless propane water heaters.... My boiler is a tankless unit, it keeps about 4 gallons in reserve to use for washing dishes or showering, but cycles on once an hour to keep that water warm.

Does anyone out there have one and care to give me pro or con regarding this switch? Would I ultimately save money by switching to a propane water heater? Oil prices are about about $ 4.65/gallon. Or should I just leave well enough alone? Thanks
