I buy what I think looks good as far as clothes go. My favorite store has brands you've never heard of. Appliances? I'd let DH do his homework w/ Consumer Reports. He's good at that homework.

No! I buy store brand, no name clothing and don't like the idea of "advertising" for big brand names.

Shoes are the exception, as I truly like Nike's, and haven't found a way to wear them without "advertising" for them.

I buy according to the features I am looking for. I am pretty much a function over form person. I check to see how things are put together,the materials used etc. When I find something that is well made I may buy other things by that brand. Zyliss kitchen gadgets for example.

I don't care very much about fashion. I won't spend a lot on clothes and primarily they have to fit. I live in jeans and tees.

Only brands are shoes. Again because of fit. I like Lands End,Teva and New Balance mostly.

It depends. In clothes I've found a few labels that always seem to fit me. In household goods and appliances I'll research until the cows come home.

Style for clothes and appliances but some brand names for food.

Only for jeans. Levi's are still the only brand that fit me right. I have been wearing them since the 4th grade.

I mainly go by price. I won't pay full price for anything unless I have to (like if the water heater conked out or something).

By style on clothing, although Gap and Old Navy seem to fit the best in jeans. Electronics and appliances I go by brand (choosing ones that did good in consumer reviews).

About the only thing I buy by brand is Levis jeans.

Everything else I buy by quality and price.

I try to find the best quality for the price. I don't mind paying more IF it is worth it and the quality is much better especially appliances which are going to last a long time. Things with a short time span, like food and clothing, I buy by price.

I really just buy what is comfortable and fits my mood. But, I do like style. I'm not "name brand" conscious.

I buy frozen veggies that are store brand and several other products that are store brand.
