Magala, What we do to by-pass the inconsistent weather is to spread the emergence of our bees over a period of time. when it seems to be warm enough (55+-) put out a third of your cocoons. Watch when they emerge. about two weeks after that (depending on weather) put out another third, and then wait another two weeks for the final third. You might have some mortality with keeping them in a refrigerator for an additional month, but much less than placing them all out at the same time. If Maggie is wanting Coco's food, then I'd be inclined to let her eat the same thing he's eating. I just looked up the ingredients of the Culinary Creations and they look good, unlike a lot of the SD dog food I've seen. Some animals may react to the wheat flour and gluten that's in the cat food, but if your animals have been healthy on it then I see no reason not to feed what works for you and the cats. After trying nearly every brand of cat food, my cat eats only Fancy Feast. I know it's not the best food out there but it's what keeps our household happy!

I am choosing between two kittens from the same litter. Both are girls. I am more attracted to the appearance of one of them, but they are both lovely. One kitten is more outgoing and brave. She had no qualms about coming over to me, or exploring the room we were in which was not her usual room in the house. The other is more timid, quieter; she was very afraid the first couple of minutes, but then settled into my lap and didn't really move much, but enjoyed being quietly stroked in my lap. I have a 14-year-old cat at home who is very lively and active - you could never guess he's 14, but of course he's not young either. Perhaps the quieter one would be easier for him? Or is it better to have a more outgoing less timid cat in general? Someone told me that a more lively outgoing cat is a sign of being more robust in health cause of their energy - is that true? Or will it be easier on both me and older cat to have a quieter kitten in the house? These kittens are about 9-10 weeks old, and the owner said they won't leave her house until 12 weeks. She said if I come back and visit next week, I may find the timid cat more outgoing as she gets a little older, and so perhaps the braver one is just more advanced for her age. Or maybe not. Maybe that's just their personalities as they are now. Which is a better choice - a quiet sweet but timid kitten, or a brave outgoing social kitten? P.S. I like the looks of the timid kitten better, but that's not really so important.

Odessa has been doing fine on Wellness Chicken for 2 years. Aside from a little kibble I give her for snacks, its the only food she's eats. Every once in a while she'll turn her nose up at it, but then I crimble up a Friskies treat and sprinkle it on top. Then she dives right in. It is pate style but the 12.5 cans have a good deal of juicy gravy you can pour over the food. The large cans are also more economical. I make 7 individual 'tv dinners' out of one 12.5 can and refrigerate them. It takes about 1/2 hour to get them to room temp. I add 1 tsp of canned pumpkin (Odie had tummy issues when I first adopted her)to each meal as well as 1 oz of fresh water to each serving and then mush it up into a stew. My cat is wierd...she doesn't seem to drink water out of a bowl. She eats 3 of these meals a day. My only problem with Wellness is the price, but so far its saved me $$$ on vet bills by keeping Odessa healthy.
